ED001,
Your opinion on the kind of structure chelsea is looking to incoporate . would like to know if you this its a good approach and the right one . and what is your take on it.

also Christoph Freund as Sporting Director . is it a good shout?

do u think too many changes will slow our progress and be contention to challange for the title.

{Ed001's Note - I thought they were just going with the same one as previously in place in essence? The standard format nowadays. So long as you have one person at the top to make final decisions when necessary, it is better to have jobs split up more than the old days. Football clubs are no longer able to be run easily by a manager who can also run the team and find the players to improve the team. There just isn't time to do it all, so the load has to be spread.

Hard to say on Freund, he has never shopped in the market you are in. So we won't actually find out if he can step up. Some men are not capable, Monchi for instance had no idea when given freedom to operate at Roma with money to spend. Freund might struggle to find those better players or he might step up brilliantly. It is hard to tell.

Too many changes will make it difficult but you have no choice as the club needs them due to the way things have gone since the govt intervened.}

Thank you for your input ED001, always appreciated.

I hope Freund does a good job and works well with Potter, the team, coaches and the owners. Hoping this leads is to titles and not just a club content with making money.

buying clubs to be a feeder or support club to chelsea is not a new idea in sport but i'm struggling to see if there is much to gain from there. do you think we will gain from this. I'd rather have our players go to and learn fom different leagues.

Also, do u have an idea of the structure at the club

owners / shareholders / board of directors
DOF / sporting director
manager / coach

is it in this order?

{Ed001's Note - that is basically it on the football side I believe. It is more complex but in essence yes.}

I’ve just been listening to a podcast explaining Chelsea’s plans and ambitions going forward, apparently bohley likes the RB structure hence why taking the dof, what I just watched explained that his plan is to buy a club in Portugal and one in Brazil, so we can loan players to them and have a strong grip on cherry picking the best talents from both leagues, even if they are to young to move straight away we will keep them in there origin country until old enough, what else it said was very interesting, it said that we were going to copy the best parts of the city group (Man City) and the best parts of fsg (lfc) apparently fsg love the data side of the game, the one guy in the podcast said it should be quite easy and quick for Chelsea to be a huge force going forward, he explained that it was easier for Elon musk to get into space exploration because NASA had already done all the leg work and had the data needed, so they said we will look at what worked for Man City and Liverpool and literally piggy back them, also touched on how it took city a few years to establish the city group and how it took FSG and there data driven ideas nearly a decade to see the fruits of its labour, in a nutshell we will be a hybrid of city and Liverpool and won’t take a long time getting there, and apparently we’ve agreed with freund to invest 300 million euros over the nest 2 seasons on players, I don’t know about you guys but we can’t ask for more than that can we, I for am extremely excited going forward.

{Ed002's Note - Some of it is correct.}

You don't post regularly Cat, but, I must say I Like your posts when they appear. The fact Ed002 replied that some is correct is somewhat encouraging, most of us on here rely on the "here and now" concept, whereas I feel, ala, your post, that our club is looking long term towards being a Global Phenomenon.
