Congratulations today lads.

Mourinho does not lose these games and i'm sure the same game plan would of played out regardless if it was 0-0 after 89mins.

I thought we coped well with Hazard today considering our injuries but these world class players only need 1 chance and he truly is that.

Your football is not my cup of tea but its probably won u the league so u have every right to be happy and enjoy it.

Well done guys.

Cheers mate. It's always nice when you get an unbiased fan. We'd like to play better sometimes but we needed to guarantee the win.

2.) 19 Apr 2015 00:17:53
Chris you only have to look back one season, Liverpool had similar game to us (even.morenimportant as they couldn't Lose, where we could) they thought they can outplay is and lost the game and the title. We just couldn't lose this game as this would have put pressure on us. We won even though ugly but we will be champions and we were best team this season in PL by far!

3.) 19 Apr 2015 00:40:30
Thanks!

Hats off to u! Fair play mate!

Yeah hopefully! Only 2 wins away!

Welcome to our page any day mate! True football fan!

4.) 19 Apr 2015 00:43:07
Paddy at the bad for you looks enough good! One for the future!

5.) 19 Apr 2015 01:21:18
Yeh paddy seems a good player mate, fingers crossed he continues to learn the game and is given the opportunitys to do so.

Believe it or not he plays CM and AM for our reserves at times so quite the versatile player too.

6.) 19 Apr 2015 03:53:04
Thanks CTR, you guys have a good team and I feel the chase for the title would be closer next season, glad we won the game doesn't matter how business end of the season, we've dazzled and flexed our muscles and I can say we've earned it this year. Looking forward to next season the current top four would all be better next season. Cheers

7.) 19 Apr 2015 08:23:30
Cheers, Chris :)

8.) 19 Apr 2015 09:49:15
To be honest I'm not shocked u saying tht . He didn't mind having a shot. He looked really comfortable on the ball too.

9.) 19 Apr 2015 11:07:04
There's no question at your best you are very good to watch and at your worst you are very effective winner's.
The ultimate is to be admired (begrudgingly or not) by all Champions like Barcelona were but in the absence of that 1 0 to Chelsea George Graham style champions still get the same trophy at the seasons end.

10.) 19 Apr 2015 12:27:20
I think what needs to be recognised, not just by fans but the media too, is that there are many ways of winning a football match. Not all the best Managers and Teams get success playing the best football, week in, week out. The old adage of winning when not at your best is the mark of champions is true however just because a team chooses to play in a strategic way, doesn't mean they are not at their best. The Italian teams of old where masters at this. It's about game management and that is something Mourinho excels at (as did Ferguson at Man Utd).

Anyhow, back to the season in hand. we have played better, have played worse however let's not forget - we have won the most games (23), we have lost the fewest games (2), we have the joint best goals scored (65) and the second best goals conceded (26), the best goal difference (+39) and are 10 points clear. we've also been top since the first weekend of the season.

Any team that has that record deserves to be league champions and, in my opinion, requires more praise than they currently get.

11.) 19 Apr 2015 12:53:54
U fully deserve ure title this year.

12.) 19 Apr 2015 14:15:13
No question you will be very worthy champions Steve B and Early doors many of us thought you may go unbeaten through out the season because you looked so good , because of some of the more tactical apposed to fantastic performances recently people forget how very good you looked in the first 18 or so games.

13.) 19 Apr 2015 16:17:48
I fully agree, gunner62, thanks for that :) it's nice to have fans of other clubs on here when they're reasonable!
I'm looking forward to a big game next weekend against you guys

14.) 19 Apr 2015 16:44:23
I'm looking forward to it too Jackson as although we've beaten utd and city away beating you remains in my opinion the real acid test for us, a draw would have to be acceptable because you can't demand your team beats the champions elect but only a victory would totally confirm beyond question our ability to once again be considered premier league winning material.
Obviously I don't mean this season :-) that ship sailed around October time and despite us closing the huge gap 2nd is our realistic best but I mean next season and beyond.

15.) 19 Apr 2015 17:56:22
In recent seasons I would've been totally confident that we'd get the win. I don't want to sound rude or anything, but your team played too naive in big games IMO, wanting to win the right way with beautiful attacking football etc. But ever since that game against City (with Coquelin coming in I think it was) the approach to games has been more mature. You don't blindly chase a 2nd goal when you're only up 1-0 for example. It's good to finally see tbh :)
And of course you have very good players in Ozil, Sanchez, Cazorla, Koscielny etc. It should be a fun game :)

16.) 19 Apr 2015 19:05:56
Your spot on Jackson mate we've been like a boxer with a glass jaw when playing the big teams for more years than I care to remember, lots of fancy footwork then night night as we've been predictably picked off time and time again.
Le Coq,coming in against city has been key to our revival and a much less naive approach that so far so good has seen us beat city and utd which is virtually unheard of since Queen Victoria ( slight exaggeration maybe but has felt that way at times :-) next Sundays as I say is the big one regards exactly how far we've come or may still have to go.
Is Arsenal 7 0 Chelsea 0 too much to ask for? :-)

17.) 19 Apr 2015 19:15:25
You can be damn sure that a Chelsea team under Mourinho will always be ready to take on a Wenger side :-) I'm already getting excited, can't wait!

18.) 19 Apr 2015 19:58:01
That's why its the ultimate test for us :-) if Arsene gets the better of Mourinho next Sunday then anything and everything is possible for us next season, but as we stand that's a massive IF, but I'm looking forward more this time than I have for years to one of our games and not fearing another melt down, famous last words I know :-)

19.) 19 Apr 2015 22:36:49
Hope to see you here again after the game, gunner62. Perhaps we could have some good discussion regarding the match :)

20.) 20 Apr 2015 08:26:13
Lose or draw and I will definitely come back Jackson no problem there mate but should the impossible happen and Arsene finally beat Mourinho then I might be a little more reluctant because posting on other teams pages after you've beaten them no matter how well you try to word your post can cause offence to some posters.
So I fully expect to catch you next Sunday night :-)

21.) 20 Apr 2015 12:20:47
I think most on here are mature enough to respond in a reasonable way, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Cheers, mate :)

22.) 20 Apr 2015 12:57:07
Yes gunner62, if you win against us it doesn't matter but if you somehow manage to win the title ot may completely different story :D

23.) 20 Apr 2015 16:38:49
G62 is a top lad, u can bet your house regardless of results he will be back.

Now if that's not a ringing endorsement from the Carlsberg of posters I don't know what is :)

24.) 20 Apr 2015 19:50:50
Hahah of course you're welcome on the page any time as well, mate :)

25.) 20 Apr 2015 20:24:21
Cheers Chris :-) LRD if we some how manage to nick the title this season I'm going to sell my house and put the money Gibraltar to win the world cup and why not the ODs must be similar:-)

Nice to see Jose words still have the desired effect on some situation88.

I would worry if yesterday was an actual game plan.

U defended so well but u needed to, to suggest this was all a master plan is crazy. Jose went out not to lose, not to win. Either results would of been good enough for u.

CFC, no one has convinced themselves defending is not part of the game mate. U will rightly get the praise on the back of it.

Hazard hit the post, falcao hit the post. It's all irrelevant now.

Dave the save should not of gone, yes it was just handball but it's a yellow mate.

Terry fouled falcao on the lead up to the goal so it's swings and round a abouts. Jose set up not to lose and maybe nick a win. U defended very well today as u always do.

U should be happy, u won. U don't need to convince people on your own page your tactics worked. Although the fact u feel the need to says a bit.
