Where from: Denmark

Favourite player: Drogba

Best team moment: Obviously, the Champions League victory ranks as number one, which it probably does with everyone else. A more unique favourite moment was when Fabregas produced THAT amazing assist to Andre Schurrle. At that moment you knew that team would become very, very special.

Poch has just signed an extension. Guess he was never really an option, but no doubt he'd been an excellent choice. Really hope clearance is provided soon!

18 May 2018 11:46:56
Could any of you Eds perhaps shed a light on what happened Wednesday night in regards to Chelsea's managerial situation? Would be highly appreciated!

{Ed001's Note - no sorry, I don't know.}

1.) 18 May 2018 16:04:00
Fair, one cannot know everything ;)

{Ed001's Note - sadly no. I wish I could though!}

2.) 18 May 2018 20:03:47
Apparently it could seriously be Poch to Chelsea. I'd be very surprised and confused though.

3.) 19 May 2018 09:59:29
Where did you hear the from Jackson?

4.) 19 May 2018 19:11:55
Apparently some guy claims it on twitter. Probably not true, but it's strange that it's even being touted as a possibility.

10 Mar 2018 18:22:22
We definately need to start Zappa against Barca! Always gives his all, and quite a threat offensively, too!

1.) 11 Mar 2018 09:25:22
agree . I prefer him too. not as physically strong but for me can offer more. more games he plays the more consistent and better he will get.

28 May 2017 12:07:05
Hey ED. I'm not sure if this is one of the questions that you don't like, but hopefully that isn't the case - at least, it isn't my intention to waste your time. But seeing how other teams such as City and United are already bringing in some solid reenforcements, could you perhaps provide some information about Chelsea nearing any deals? Perhaps drop a few names as Well? I understand if it's not possible, I was just hoping for some Nice updates after yesterday's dissapointment!
Regardless - you have yourself a nice Day - take Care!

{Ed002's Note - There is no way for me to try and anser questions about the ti,img of transfers.}

1.) 28 May 2017 14:01:43
Okay, I understand - and Sorry to bother, I'just struck by some mean hangovers and thought you might have some uplifting news 😉.

{Ed002's Note - There is always uplifting news Emil - summer is just about here, the butterflies are out.....}

2.) 28 May 2017 16:23:08
News of Bakayoko and Naby Keita signing for Chelsea would be more welcome than 30 degrees outside while I have to prepare for exams though :P.

11 Nov 2016 12:21:21
Hello Ed. I was just wondering if you could provide an update on these (or at least just some of them) players that I've seen linked with a move to Chelsea (some more realistic than others) :
Javier Pastore, Kasper Dolberg, Moussa Dembele (Celtic), Bazoer, Kondogbia and Niklas Sule.
I'll understand it if you haven't got the time!
Have a nice weekend :)

{Ed002's Note - There will be an update fairly soon.}

1.) 11 Nov 2016 14:44:17
Hahaha I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve, waiting for the presents the next day :-P.

2.) 11 Nov 2016 14:44:17
Hahaha I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve, waiting for the presents the next day :-P.

{Ed002's Note - I am guessing Monday. I have just finished a short Liverpool one and my PA is threatening me with no more today.}

3.) 11 Nov 2016 17:46:28
No rush, Ed, we all know you're busy :-) But I am certainly looking forward to it. Your info is the best.

Watching the Dortmund game today, and I think Pulisic has been playing really well. As far as I can understand, he's been performing well lately in general, hopefully he'll join us on a high and keep momentum. Think he'll be really exciting!

1.) 11 May 2019 17:10:19
Biggest plus is that he comes to us fit and healthy.

2.) 11 May 2019 23:55:13
I’m excited for the future with Pulisic and CHO. Both exciting young wingers with high ceilings. But if Hazard goes we need a class replacement. I’d try for Sane but unlikely so then it’s got to be either Pepe or Ziyech as they both contribute goals and assists. Pedro would be a quality 4th choice for the squad but I’d personally cash in on Willian for 30 million plus while we can.

3.) 12 May 2019 07:57:42
Well, as Ed’ve said Insigne is available, he sure does seem like the ideal replacement, although I agree that especially Pepe would be a great addition.
All of this might be irrelevant if we can’t buy players though.

4.) 12 May 2019 11:29:10
Tbh, my confidence in CHO staying is being watered-down daily with the unending stories that I read everyday about him still wanting to join Bayern Munich (despite the club's effort to keep him) .

5.) 13 May 2019 23:22:57
Tbh, my confidence in CHO being watered-down every day with the unending stories that I read everyday about him still wanting to join Bayern Munich (with all the club is trying to do so that he can stay) . Besides I think Ed002 was right about him (needing to still learn a lot to become the top player that we all expect him to be) - his performances in some games (2-3games) before his injury is evident to that.

28 Feb 2019 01:37:17
Hey guys. I was unable to see the game Yesterday - do you think I should see it later today? Don't usually see games that've been played, but wouldn't want to miss out if we were great!
Also, I heard that Alonso was great? Is there eight days this week aswell?

1.) 28 Feb 2019 09:53:31
Emil, just watch it for the oh. Plus the Pedro goal and tackle.

How on earth do some people rate the Spurs keeper? He is truly awful.

2.) 28 Feb 2019 10:04:20
That’s meant to be og not oh Emil. It is so funny, you may well wet yourself laughing! So be careful.

13 Feb 2019 11:35:48
There's been a lot of talk recently that the club needs leadership. This has let me to wonder, in general, if clubs sometimes look especially for players with leadership qualities? If that's the case, do they then try to judge their leadership from the way the players act on the field? Or perhaps from insiders knowing of the players' personality?
And is it possible within a short time to gain new leaders? Obviously, Van Dijk springs to mind as a player who's taken on leadership incredibly fast, but surely a lot of that must be down to the chemistry that new player gets with his team-mates?
Hope my question makes sense, otherwise you can feel free to just delete it ;)

Paredes off to PSG. Really think that's a shame - he looks like a brilliant player who would give Jorginho proper competition and perhaps a player who could also have played the other midfield positions.
I am one of the few people on here that rate Jorginho, but he obviously needs competition and and a back up, in case he gets injured or suspended. I think both Kovacic and Ampadu looked like they weren't able to fill in Jorginho's shoes, and since I do agree that Jorginho's level has been declining recently, I think it's fair to say that we should be bringing in a back up. Therefore I think Paredes to PSG is a shame. Really hope that Ampadu proves me wrong, however - he didn't get a lot of runs to prove his abilities in the position, and hopefully it's too soon to say that he can't play the position.

1.) 29 Jan 2019 10:23:46
It's unfortunate that Maria and her team don't see value in him 34 million in this present day transfer market. Well I will wait until after the summer transfer to tell if she's doing a good job but all don't look well to me since she assumed that office. Imo we really need an upgrade in the midfield than mere back up player.
I hope Jorginho/ Kante decisions won't hunt Sarri future.

2.) 29 Jan 2019 10:48:35
£35m for a back up. 🤭 Club have done well this window, higuain, keeping CHO even if it’s for another 6 months. Signing a brilliant youngster in pulisic. 👍🏼.

3.) 29 Jan 2019 11:07:43
Don’t get me wrong - I too think we’ve done well, but I think we need competition for Jorginho. But yes, £35 mil would be too much for a back up.

4.) 29 Jan 2019 13:34:27
I think we have more than enough in midfield with the likes of Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic, Barkley, Ampadu and RLC. 3 positions and we have 6 players. Almost 2 in every midfield position.

Kovacic did well in the regista role and is easily capable in that position. He passes well and is actually very good defensively. He could be the cover we need if the former got injured.

However, I do suspect a final push for Barella. I can't see the Kovacic deal being permanent in the summer witout RM asking for Hazard or a big fee in return. Barella may be the cheaper and better option.

5.) 29 Jan 2019 14:08:49
I’m sure we would have paid the £34m. PSG just likely won the race. It’s not as if a choice between Chelsea and PasG would mean that Paredes would definitely choose Chelsea.

26 Jan 2019 19:44:38
If CHO were to leave, surely the club would buy a replacement? Wondering if they'd be willing to buy a player like Nicolas Pepe or if they'd go for a cheaper option? Sarri seems keen to use Willian on The left, so perhaps Fekir might be brought in for The right wing?

1.) 26 Jan 2019 19:56:54
They should spend the money on the best young talent they can find.

Unpopular opinion here, but I would actually think Zaha would be a wonderful signing. got to say that I haven't seen Cavani so much the last year, but I really love him as a striker, and really he can't be worse than any of what we've got. Also, I think Coutinho might be a decent signing. None of us really know if Pepe would make it in the PL, but Coutinho has proven so much here.

Well don't really know if right now is the time we need him the most, since we're probably not even allowed to sign anyone ;) Let's everyone enjoy a nice friday, perhaps with a beer or two. Cheers, everyone - good times are ahead!

An option could be using Emerson or RLC as a winger, which Sarri has done at times this season. Barkley also played a winger last season under Conte those few games that he played! Also I think Reece James is able to play almost every position on the field? If so, he might be able to play right winger if he's with us next season.

Surprised to see Pedro likely to leave and Willian likely to stay. Honestly think that the way Pedro's been playing compared to Willian the last three seasons would suggest that Pedro is the better option. At least that's my opinion. It's got to be recognised however, that so many managers seem to rate Willian very highly!

Sorry if you'd consider this an unrelated question, but if Hazard were to leave, would that change the fact that Pedro is considered likely to leave? :)

{Ed002's Note - I cannot comment on your view but Hazard leaving has no impact on Pedro staying or going. The club has a replacement and that is where they are.}

Kante would also walk into every single team in the world, in my opinion.

Words can barely describe how dissappointed I would be with the leaders of Chelsea, if we decide to sack Sarri. This one time we decide to bring in a manager with a completely different philosophy than the one our club's had for many years, and even though we get a very good placement in the league and play to finals, the board is still not satisfied? Firing Sarri would simply reek of incompetence.

Ed I was wondering when it's normal for players to return from their loans? I've seen that for instance Reece James has returned and is training with the team already. I thought the players were loaned until June 30th and would train with that respective team until? Or will they simply return, when the club they've been loaned to has played their last competitive match? :)

{Ed001's Note - the usual is after the last competitive match unless they are sent back early.}

Can't say that I agree that they were that bad. Also, Pedro has been quite decent for us this season and scored some important goals. I think he's a fine option to have!
