Ed 01 serious question how long do you see enzo maresca surving?
is it just me or does it look he's lost the players completely.
{Ed001's Note - I have noticed a few times him trying to give last minute instructions to players, over the last few games, and the players literally just walking away from him. It does look like the discipline is gone and that is never a good thing - it usually ends just one way, with the manager being sacked. In my opinion, he is in his final few weeks, unless he turns results around quickly. He is hanging on by his fingertips right now I think.}

I hope it doesn’t happen but if it does I would like us to appoint my original first choice and that is the Stuttgart manager. The only thing that dampens my enthusiasm for him was I expected Stuttgart to perform better in Europe this season.
Other than him I can’t think of anyone, although I guess Jose will be offered up as a solution.

Ed, thank you for replying, I think most of us if not all, are on the same page.
I just hope the owners don't prolong it too much to see us sliding down the table and see the Dog and Duck knock us out of the conference league.
{Ed001's Note - very welcome.}

I just hope that the SD's are nowhere near a new appointment that is if they are still here.

Tom sorry for being thick but what is the Pys site and who is the Stuttgard manager?

Jimbo, you’re certainly not thick. JBS has highlighted how to find the article on the thread above.
Sorry for the spelling but it’s Houness who is the Stuttgart manager.

Thanks ed, its hard to no who wed get now if we sacked him there isn't a huge variety to chose from,
Is there any 2 or 3 list the club would consider that your aware of?
The summer is a big 1 squad looks like it needs a top keeper signed and an oshimen type number 9
Id run nkuku, neto, madueke, sancho, out the door personally, and id also flog enzo he's dreadfull cm he gets by passed 15 or 20 times a game he's another jorginho lovely passer when hehas time, could be a top player in a team like psg or Barcelona were he has more time on the ball.
{Ed001's Note - the sporting directors would be totally remiss if they didn't always have a list of potential replacements ready just in case. It is standard practice. I don't know who would be on it though sorry.}

Sooner the better if you’ve lost the dressing room what’s the point.
16 Feb 2025 11:15:39
thanks ed who would you go for with this squad and set up personally?
Soneone like iraola is definetly a name that would be in contention or again Franck maybe who knows if i had a choice do maybe someone like fabregas who would bring back the connection with the fans and he seems to be devoloping well as a coach could be a good success story like arteta who has done a solid job at arsenal.
{Ed001's Note - Iraola and Hoeness seem to be the two stand out options.}

I think the owners and directors (Winstanley and Stewart) are the main cause of all this? There is far too many young and unproven players in this Chelsea team. It is not a Chelsea we once knew.
I’m all for signing young players but you need to have the right mix of experience and youth to succeed. It was fine when we had Cech, Terry, Lampard and Didier but we have no leaders now. Enzo shouldn’t be captain after his racist song and it shouldn’t be James as he’s never fit. Question is there is nobody who screams captain material to me.
