Interesting seeing how Arsenal stuck with Arteta for the last 5 years despite just that one trophy in 2020. Their fans were a bit like some of ours now demanding a change and wanting the manager out. Maybe the ownership will give Maresca time to get his ideas properly formulated and look for stability at last?

Arsenal haven’t won anything yet nor will they.

Greenaway, Stability would be nice but our currents owners don’t seem to be long on patience.

I like stability, and backing the manager. I think the detail people are forgetting between the arsenal comparison is this was a champions league winning side, with the best academy in football. Arsenal haven't won a major trophy (other than fa cup) since 2004.

Maresca is on a 5 year deal though. If we don't go broke because of the player spending, it'll be through the remuneration packages for all these sackings lol.

It's fine having stability when there is confidence that the right people are in charge.

With regards to Arsenal, Edu was a great foil for Arteta and between them, they built a really good team, not sure a good squad. They bought experience and I'm not sure Arteta would still be there if they did what we did constantly bringing in so many youngsters, never mind the revolving door for the. players.

I would love stability, but there has to be a reason for it. For instance, if we didn't qualify for the champions league this season, but played lovely football and showed the foundations of something to build on, fine, that deserves stability.

Play largely boring football, with not much in the way of attacking tactics, outside of individuals ability and drop points against poor teams. I don't see the value in stability around something like that.

Success brings stability. The issue is what is success for our owners and will they offer any manager time to achieve success? I’m not convinced that our owners know whether to stick or twist.

That in itself Tom sums up our club at the moment.

Bill, maybe. It could be that our owners will try and do what other owners have done and give a manager some time. We will see.
