Apparently the "Athletic" have produced a "playing style metric" for teams across Europe. It supposedly compares teams playing style.

If you get a chance please look at the teams our play is most like.

You appear in the know on most matters relating to Chelsea Tom. Do you know if we have closed the gap on our main rivals points wise this season? obviously not liverpool but are we closer to man city, arsenal, newcastle, villa man u and spurs? I guess we are actually which is a good sign albeit in a rubbish show of a league season for all but the scouse.

Greenaway, I’m certainly not in the know about all things Chelsea. I freely admit to making guesses.

My guess is we are a lot closer and in some cases we have over taken what are perceived as big clubs. I wouldn’t get carried away with any points statistics this season because with the exception of the Scousers the premiership in my opinion has been bang average.

Obviously the stand out surprise this season has been Forest. Going forward the likes of City, Newcastle, Utd, Villa, the spuds and the gooners will all be in my opinion investing significantly in new players and rebuilds. Add to that other teams in Europe will also be looking to improve there squad and I can only see a competitive window, wit inflated prices.

Tom, I agree the premiership has been bang average this season and no really outstanding players to get people off their seats. I also agree that the clubs you mentioned will invest and probably improve and surely Spurs and Man U can’t be as bad next season: which is worrying for us.

Jimbo, we should forget that teams like Brighton, Bournemouth and Fulham will also believe, quite rightly, that they can dine at the top table.

West Ham will in my opinion be a dumping ground for a lot of player because they look to be in a total mess and the toffees will want a better team turning up for there fantastic supporters at there new ground.

On top of all that Liverpool will want to support there new and successful manager.

It will be a very busy window.

Sorry, that should be “we shouldn’t forget. ”.
