The spuds looking to do a 20 year stadium naming rights deal, reportedly for £500m.
I can see a short term benefit but apparently the owner of the naming rights is looking for a veto of FOS sponsorship in case of business clashes.
{Ed001's Note - they all do that Tom, it is standard.}

Blimey, I assume they must have renegotiating break clauses.
{Ed001's Note - no, that's why they need to have blocks on rivals sponsoring other things within the same team.}

If I was back in charge of a corporation that had any interest in sponsorship, I’m not sure I would want to sign a 20 year deal.
{Ed001's Note - nor would I.}

Tom,
I think stadium naming rights is a long way off therefore we won't need to worry about this issue.

Bill, I’m not so sure. I was told that BOA looked at naming rights and sponsorship and my guess is the supposed airline would like to do both.

Tom
We are struggling to get a FOS, let's not complicated matters talking about stadium naming rights espically when we don't even know what is happening to the stadium.

Bill, I guess you are right, this is all a rather academic debate?

It is Tom.
