Welcome to The Club World Champions Jorrel Hato, a player VVD has described as the best young defender to come out of Holland in a long time, some praise from the best centre back in the premier league.
I'm not sure what else we need now other than maybe a new keeper?
The squad is looking very good and ready to challenge.

Greenaway, has the potential to become a top class defender. I am so chuffed that we have signed him. Well done the club and SD’s.

Totally agree, good signing for us.

I see the mighty Steve Nichol who is an expert on grass pitches has now said that he cannot u derstand why Hato has signed for us.

Maybe he was fed up and he wanted Hato to sign for the only football team in the world, Liverpool.

I also think Hato looks to be a fine signing so can only hope he stays fit and proves us right!

{Ed001's Note - excellent player but he needs games to develop.}

Ed001, would you mind adding him to the list for a profile? I assume you’d need to watch a few more games from him before you’d be able to make one, though I could be wrong. But I’d love to read your views on him.

{Ed001's Note - I will be doing him anyway mate, all the players transferring into the Prem I am trying to get done.}

Awesome, thanks I appreciate all your efforts! Are you still enjoying the sun in the Philippines?

{Ed001's Note - I moved back to Dubai - there was very little sun in the Philippines, even during the dry season it was bloody wet! In fact, as far as I can tell, the difference between dry season and wet season is that during the wet season it will definitely rain every day. During dry season it will just probably rain every day. Plus I was up all night to watch the Prem, so rarely got to see daylight, the time difference was too much. Great people though. So many nice people, but I am glad to no longer feel like a zoo exhibit everywhere I go as people stop and stare at me in the Philippines. It was nice to feel tall though, well most of the time.}

Ed, I loved your post, definitely got a few chuckles out of me. When I went to the Philippines it was the ‘start’ of rainy season but it very rarely rained and we had quite a bit of sun (went for a month) . I felt more like a celebrity than a zoo exhibit, but I guess that depends on your outlook. My fiancé was asked if a few different girls could have pictures with me, which amused me. We are heading back out there in January/ February so I’m hopeful it will be fairly sunny but not toooooo hot. I am gutted that I’ll miss so much football though. Last time we went was June/ July so I just missed a couple of pre season games.

{Ed001's Note - actually I think I felt more like I was part of a giant experiment, like I was some kind of lab rat. Still, I do wish I had a pound for every girl there that asked if I would give her a blue-eyed baby! I would be retired now. They seem obsessed with blue eyes. For some reason though, when a girl asks you that, it is always your fault according to your gf! Do you go out there a lot?}

Not as much as we would like, we last went 3 years ago, but we have paid for her family to come across to the UK since then. It was tough going having parents and siblings all stay in the same house as us for 5 months! They spent a lot of time complaining about the temperature (it wasn’t even proper winter) and building my heating bill.
She is constantly asking me for blue eyed babies, which of course is incredibly unlikely due to blue eyes being a recessive gene (and no one in her family has anything but brown eyes), yet she persistently mentions it so I told her we’ll force the kids to wear contacts. They are a fairly jealous type I have to admit. But I like to think she’s fairly reasonable (when it’s glaringly obvious I haven’t done anything wrong at least) .

{Ed001's Note - you are obviously posh, having all the family living in the same house is just how it is for most of us mate! Don't mention jealousy - there is nothing more jealous than a Filipina and they don't need a reason.}
