I may well be wrong but I think Caicedo is banned for the next premiership game.

I think he’s got one more yellow to go.

So many stupid bookings. How are these players not learning? It was the same under Poch. Back then everyone was claiming it was youthful naivity, but they're still doing it! It seems the only thing Liam Delap is good at on a football pitch (as of the moment) is getting booked or sent off.
On a slightly different note, what did everyone else think of the Maatsen handball shout? It's not an excuse for the way we threw away the game, of course, but I can't quite get my head around the fact that VAR instantly dismissed it. Neto had a tap-in otherwise, and the arm is making his body bigger (even if it's also considered a natural position – the wording of two parts of the law there making an absolute mockery of each other) .

I look at it from the otherwise. What if it was us. I would not be happy it being a penalty on the other foot so for me. It wasnt a pen.

EdW, it was a blatant handball and although at the time I had no idea how blatant so just trusted VAR but the moment I saw it on TV I was shocked it was not given. That could of been 2 nil and job done. The standard of match officials and VAR in this country is pathetic.

EdW, I always use the how would I feel if had been given against us rationale. I would have been gutted.

I agree tomb. In my opinion its not a blatant handball.

TomB and Chelsea-forever-blue, I think I agree with you both that I'd ultimately rather not see handballs like that given.
BUT under the current handball rules, where the wording was specifically changed to state that intention by the player to handball or not doesn't matter (a piece of insanity that looks like it was concocted to help bring VAR further into the game), that's a penalty all day long. If it doesn't deflect off his arm it's a tap-in for Neto.

EdW, it would have been given in the Champions League that’s for sure!
