The Barco news in the last 24hrs has been, whilst expected, pleasing to read. Fresh reports that were pushing for Senesi too, with talks 'advanced'. I'll believe that one when it's confirmed, but Senesi would make complete sense as a transfer, and sending Acheampong on loan to Bournemouth in return, would also make sense.
Not surprised to see Acheampong linked with transfers, especially after he was left out for all but a few mins in the Port Vale game. Maybe there's more to it than meets the eye, maybe he was carrying a knock and his limited mins was on medical advice, but, on the face of it, the decision still seems a strange one. He is one of the most promising defenders in Europe, evidenced by the fact it's Bayern, Barcelona and City linked to him - the European elite. It would be a huge mistake to lose him this summer, but we need to set out his pathway, which should sensibly include a season long loan. Colwill was linked to similar moves when he was coming through, a similar trajectory to the first team that he went on would be the right option for Acheampong.

J, I think you are spot on with the transfers and Josh going out on loan.

I don't want Josh to go on loan; he is good enough to get game time: already a better option at RB than Gusto, if required. I just fear he will be sold; obviously a loan would be the lesser of two evils.

I would be surprised if any fan wants Josh to go on loan, and I would also be disappointed if the club decided to sell him.

Josh needs to play at CB. He is not a RB. We need to let him develop in his own position. I would pair him with Colwill at CB, but then the moaners will say we haven't got enough experience to challenge at the top table. It is a fine line.
