ED's can we have a poll, should we keep LR when season ends or release (sack) him.

Thank you in advance.

Interesting to see 100% on here want Liam out, Bill. In fact, I don't know anyone who wants him to stay amongst all my Chelsea supporting mates, plus none on this forum (maybe Tom), and none on the other Chelsea forum I sometimes glance at.

Greenaway, I don't think the polling is a surprise, if I'm honest.

Not surprising, really, given where we are right now. But I didn't vote for two reasons. 1) It's not the end of the season, and if LR could, by some miracle, preside over us getting Champions League qualification and/or an FA Cup win, there may then be a case for sticking with him. 2) I have no idea who would be lined up to replace him.

If either the Bournemouth or Stuttgart manager, it would make replacing him look v attractive. In other words, wanting him or any manager gone needs to be a matter of ensuring he is replaced by someone whose record is demonstrably longer and better in terms of experience at the top level.

Posted some more comments about the LR poll and had thought they would appear here but see that I must have made a mistake and posted them in the thread about the owners and SDs. Anyway, I will repeat my comments in this thread re LR future meant to have followed on from ones on why I didn't vote in the poll:

Having said that, [ie why I didn't vote one way or the other], I would think that if our season peters out into disappointment, with Conference League qualification or no European football and no FA Cup win, plus a dire last six games, then the argument for 'releasing' him would be v strong and overwhelming.

A replacement can be brought in who has been successful at the top, plus good with developing young players, tactically astute, and flexible in using formations/systems attuned to the players he actually has.

Conte gave a masterclass with this when he turned us around after a bad defeat to Arsenal, and used Moses so successfully as a wing-back in his back 5 formation.

I didn't vote. I didn't want him as our manager, but I will support him until I've made up my mind at the end of the season.
