I know some of you like me like reading other clubs posts. I would suggest you start reading the Liverpool rumours posts and how some of their fans refer to their (FSG) owners. It may seem familiar.

Tom, when I've jumped onto the Liverpool site most of the criticism is directed towards Slot. Liverpool and Man U have been very poor this season, but will qualify for the Champions League. I think both Liverpool and Man U will be better next season. So, unless something changes, we will continue as also-rans chasing a top-six place.

Tom, as Jimbo points out, the majority of Liverpool fans are against Slot, but the ownership and SDs decided to smooth things over for the season, just as Man U did. I have suggested many times on here that our owners and SDs should have done the same with Maresca, but due to their total inexperience and cock sure attitude, they failed to do so.
If we had kept Maresca, we would have finished top 4. End result, they qualify for the Champions League, and we continue on our road to oblivion. To think some posters wanted Maresca out beggars belief, really.

Maresca chose to leave. That means he walked out. Am sure we got told on here that they (the club) tried to work around it, but Maresca chose to walk away.

Finchy, spot on, mate. I didn't want Maresca sacked, but, given what we now know, it beggars belief people would have wanted him to stay.
The Liverpool page has lots of criticism for the owners, SDs, manager, and certain players. That's what sounds familiar. Football fans of all clubs seem very familiar.

Finchy, you are correct. Maresca did walk out, but only after his repeated attempts to have a bigger say in the recruitment of players he felt the club needed to move us forward, coupled with constant interference from Paul Winstanley and Lawrence Stewart, which is basically why Poch walked out as well. The model is the model, and if some choose to believe in it, then fine, but I think it needs changing if we are to move forward.
Egghead could and should of removed the sporting directors some time ago. If he had, we may well of retained a head coach who would of got us top 4 and maybe a pot or 2.
Regardless of the past, we are now at a crossroads, and if those two remain at the club, we will drop further away.
Tom, with what I know now, I would of retained Maresca and chopped out the sporting directors.

I like reading all of the club pages those that can be bothered to participate.
The Liverpool fans turned on their SD"s a long time ago when they knew Slot was staying.
Therefore like us, they want their SD"s gone.
Perhaps ED001 can enlighten us further.
{Ed001's Note - and Edwards, who was meant to be taking charge of a multi-club model that has now been shelved. He nearly destroyed the club the last time the stat-obsessed idiot had any power, but thankfully Klopp saw him off. Why on earth they brought him back, I have absolutely no idea. He has no clue about football.}

Greenaway, it must be me. Maresca was having secret meetings with a Premiership rival. There is absolutely no way they could carry on with him at the club. He could well have taken the opportunity to talk to Enzo, Caicedo, Pedro, James, Cucarella and Colwill, and said something like, come and join me at City. In fact, one of my mates is convinced that is why Enzo hasn't signed a new contract.
Apparently, Slot has family issues, and he is likely to be going back to Holland as either the Ajax or national team coach.
It would seem unlikely that Liverpool are going to lose players to Ajax, so the owners wouldn’t have a problem keeping Slot as manager.
I have no problems sacking one or all the SD's, but I have no idea if there are any better SD's available. Every team's SD's that I've seen all get pelters from its fan base, but that's not surprising, as we all see the qualities of a player differently.
