Weird that Slot is gone and Xabi chose us. Either no decision had been made until the recent season review, at which point they were too late, or Xabi was never looked at internally at LFC to replace Slot. All indications were he would’ve jumped at the job. Any info, Tris?

Why was Alonso not inder consideration but was when Klopp left?
Also ED, di you think both clubs have landed the right coach or would other coaches be better suited for either club?
{Ed001's Note - I have no idea why Xabi was no longer under consideration, probably because Edwards is trying to hang on to power though and Alonso would not be a yes man.
Liverpool have not landed one yet. But I think Alonso or his type anyway, is what you needed. Someone to take charge.}
