I put up a rumour a few weeks ago that we had an interest in Stone. About a week later I was told he is going to Arsenal.
On tonight's performance and his performances generally in this WC, he will get top sides interested in signing him.

Thiago Silva was a wonderful addition, of been there and done that experience and deep reading of the game, and I can see the hope that Stones may offer something similar for us. Perhaps he could, though TS also offered pre-eminent leadership and marshalling of others and remained pretty fit, and there may be question marks over both those qualities in terms of Stones. But I would love us to have a few more in our squad and team with experience of top teams and top international experience, particularly as Cucurella - a star now for Spain as well as CFC - has gone, and Enzo - ditto for us and Argentina - may be following.
Enzo, in particular, is a fighter, but MC had shown this for Spain and CFC in some tough matches for us, including marking Yamal out of the game when we played Barcelona in the Champions League at the Bridge.

According to the so-called pundits, we can now add Bayern Munich, Juventus, Leeds and Everton to the list of clubs interested in signing Stone.
