It has now emerged that UEFA paid a six figure sum to a junior employee to hush up an affair with Infantino when he was General Secretary of the organisation. This is an organisation that imposes sanctions on clubs for spending their own money.
Infantino isn’t the only problem. Don’t forget leading figures in football were his cheerleaders until the heat came on, e.g.

Wenger, Debbie Hewiit (Chair of the FA). Strange isn’t it, considering every football supporter in the land knew Infantino was a greedy, corrupt bar steward. Maybe it’s because they have their snouts in the same trough.

It will be interesting to see what football associations come out and support his reelection.
If he does leave it will be interesting to see if anything comes out that could result in prosecution. Of course if he was found guilty I'm sure Trump could successfully appeal any verdict or maybe even pardon him.

I think it is about time the big clubs break away from all the governing bodies and form their own association, a bit like the super league idea but on a far wider level to accommodate all levels of the game, end the FA, UEFA and FIFA and start afresh. Would take a while but change is needed. Is it possible ED01?

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, so long as the fans are with them, unlike the super league, it is very possible.}

Infantino still has support from recipients of his largesse. He will try to ride it out like all crooks. As stated football organisations should not be run like banana republics. The European clubs must take their destiny in their own hands but as Ed said not a European super league the brainchild of another scoundrel Perez.

It is no coincidence that FIFA and UEFA are registered as non-profit organisations in Switzerland a country renowned for secrecy in banking and finance for people with something to hide.
