Just watched the game v Milan. We looked so much better in a 3-4-2-1 and that will surely be the way ahead with the odd switch to a back 4.
Wesley Fofana was the surprise for me. A brilliant performance at the heart of the back 3, stepping out time and time again to win the ball. Josh and Neto either side of him looked very comfortable as well. Neto performed superbly at right wing back and Pelestra was even better at left wing back. Lavia played the full 90 minutes and looked very assured and Moises is simply the best of the best in his position, a Rolls Royce of a player and probably worth £150 million in today's market.
What a pick up he was a few seasons back. Joao, as one of 10's behind a main striker, is surely his best position and it's great to have real competition for those 2 starting 10 positions. Jackson was lively, as was Quenda, and both of them hit the upright. Early days, but it was crystal clear that the 3-4-2-1 is going to be the Alonso way forward.

K, good summary.
