On the Fernandez to Man City links. They're also seemingly close to signing the young Moroccan midfielder who stared at the WC, who will cost north of £75m. They've also signed Anderson for well over £100m.
A few journalists are highlighting the potential of lazy journalism from others who are saying that Maresca likes Fernandez and would like him at City - it's an easy headline to write.
Personally, I can't see City signing three near £100m midfielders this summer. I also think, if any EPL side drops £120m on Fernandez this summer, they'll be dealing with his links to Real in a year or two - as no doubt we will be, even if he stays and signs a new deal.
I believe he stays, signs new terms and says he never wanted to leave. 2028 he moves to Real Madrid.

J, I suppose that's why we have put a deadline of 5PM tomorrow. If he stays, fine as long as he gives 100%. If not, we definitely need a replacement. Our midfield options are thin.
