Sky / Bild / and apparently 2/ 3 reliable German journo's along with , Simon Johnson / Matt law / John cross all saying it's agreed, £50m and £200k a week, it does feel like ziyech deal and out of the blue but what i will say is all these reports and journos were posting stories of Chelsea wanting a big target man and Werner being all but done to Liverpool, so how much do the really know .

Liverpool have not contacted RBL or made an offer but have disrupted their player through a series of illegal approaches. RBL have spoken with other sides including Inter Milan and Chelsea but have maintained the stance that the player has had his head turned. If an acceptable offer has been made by Chelsea then they will have permission to talk with the player. It is then down to the player to decide if he wants to make the move - and remember he has previously expressed a desire to join Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Liverpool. If Liverpool do wish to buy the player, and they should do the principled thing, then they need to make an acceptable offer for the player - but as I have explained money may well be an issue to Liverpool. So the ball is in the court of the player and Liverpool. But there remains some way to go.}

Hi edd, how do Liverpool keep getting away with tapping up and approaching players illegally?

{Ed002's Note - They have overpaid for players (like van Dijk), they have been warned by clubs, they have made payments to other sides, they got an 18 month ban for tapping up a 12 year old a couple of years ago - so they don’t always get away with it.}

Amongst all the excitement about it being done few stories saying that the players waiting to see if LFC come in and will make a decision then as he wants them, like you say thou. Bayern and other teams are keen so it could be a catalyst to get other teams to make there move, I won’t hold my breathe. A lot can change, also reports saying franks been in contact with the player and spoke to him a number of times, I think it’s some truth and some others jumping in with a different spin to get click bait, time will tel, cheers for response ed, was concerned that abusive idiots would affect us all with info.

Matt Law has confirmed saying it’s agreed and tbh he’s the most reliable when it comes to Chelsea transfers.

Ed002, if Chelsea sign Werner, would they want to sign a winger next? I am confused as to which position is Werner being looked at.

Quality signing for Chelsea if you guys manage to wrap it up.
Would be a bit of a downer for Tammy though being of a similar age. All teams need options however with his breakthrough season it makes you wonder who’ll be playing second fiddle.
