UK press are reporting that Chelsea are open to the exit of either Zouma or Christensen. Zouma has been heavily linked with Spurs recently.
The assumption would be that, if one leaves, then Chelsea would look to bring in a new CB. I've got a bit of family up in Leeds, a few of which are season ticket holders. They can't speak highly enough of Ben White, who we've previously been linked to, and definitely see him as a future England international. Could be a nice addition to the squad, as would the young Dutch lad at Barcelona.

If one leaves then one will arrive, ed has said, I think I’ve also read somewhere the two we wanted we wouldn’t be able to get, but whoever or if one comes in then it needs to be experienced and top class, no squad / rotation players, tomori is ready and more than capable to step in.

Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. In my opinion Zouma and Christensen are our best two centre backs IMO.

If a CB were to go I’d probs say one of Rudiger or Zouma personally. But definitely feel we need someone a level up and as much as Ben White has a lot of potential, I feel like we’d need some who’d basically be guaranteed a starting berth.

What are people’s thoughts on brining Nathan Ake back if we lose a CB? Could be an interesting option - proven in the EPL, knows the club, fairly comfortable on the ball, left footed providing balance on the left CB and could also cover at left-back.

Maybe Ake in if Christensen were to go. He’s technicallly very good (Ake) but my issue is he’s short for a CB, he’s about 5’11 if I’m not mistaken? I always like a CB to be at least 6’1 or 6’2. I know that’s not a lot of difference, but as I’m sure many of you will agree, those extra couple of inches make all the difference!

I don’t think ake is a significant improvement on anything we have and is relatively comparable to Christensen (albeit left footed) . If we were going to sign a center back I would desire someone who could marshal the defense and would be an automatic selection.
