It is being reported that Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd, PSG and West Ham all want NKunku this summer with the bidding likely to give Chelsea a healthy profit on their investment.

Strange, when he signed he was the player that I was most excited about seeing play for Chelsea. Obviously his injury didn’t help but now I guess it’s probably best for all concerned that we part ways.

I’m hoping he might be part of any Sesko trade.

You think we will Recoup more than £52m? I think it'll be a £35m deal maximum for him + some add ons.

20 May 2025 10:26:22
you all described Moises as a 'donkey' before even seeing him play for us so I can't really take any of your posts serious mate.

20 May 2025 11:29:20
I often look at other club sites and the posters to my mind generally over value the transfer worth of there players.

The price a player is sold for will depend on a lot of things but one of them will be how many clubs want that player and how desperate they are.

20 May 2025 12:09:03
Strange all those clubs and probably many more want Nkunku yet we don't, probably says it all really and to boot, we will probably lose money on him.

20 May 2025 12:39:08
Lots of clubs wanted KDB and Salah and we didn’t. Sometimes these things just don’t work out.

20 May 2025 13:59:54
And look how they turned out Tom.

20 May 2025 14:53:40
Rpd once again, that didn't happen. But whatever. Farewell all. Thanks eds for the effort over the years.

20 May 2025 15:02:59
Bill, yep two of the club’s biggest mistakes. If we do sell Nkunku, I hope the lad does well unless he plays against us.

20 May 2025 16:43:15
Nkunku is a strange one for me. Yes he was injured but nothing unusual about that at our club. Not really sure he got a chance. That said, probably better for all that he moves on. We won’t make a profit on him, I would guess £35-40 million.

20 May 2025 17:02:01
I’m going to be like posters on other club pages who seem to think all there players have high values and say we sell him for nothing less than £62.817m.

If the are as many clubs interested in him as reported then who those what the price will be!

21 May 2025 09:21:56
He is a really good player but our coach for some reason has no faith in him, at least plenty of other coaches do.

21 May 2025 09:57:55
Bill, I was a massive fan of Nkunku but he has had plenty of chances and the thing that has struck me was how he doesn’t work his marker. That isn’t the managers fault.

21 May 2025 13:12:03
Tom is has been given a game here and there in the prem, no real run.

For sometime now, in his mind, he was gone.

21 May 2025 14:23:10
Bill, it’s up to the player to prove to the manager he should be in the team all the time. When you get a chance you have to take it. He didn’t take his chance so I don’t feel sorry for him at all.

21 May 2025 14:49:11
We will make a book profit even if sold for 35m.

21 May 2025 16:15:48
Fuser, as I mentioned in a previous post I don’t understand how we can make a “book profit” but then I’m not an accountant.

21 May 2025 18:48:37
Fuser is right in terms of the accounts.

We paid £52 million for him and gave him a 6 year contract in 2023.

In our books we are able to write off ( amortisation) that £52 million over 6 years . That works out at £8.6 million a year. At seasons end he will be two years into his contract so his value as far as the accounts are concerned will be £52 million - £17.2 million ( 2 years at £8.6 million a year) = £ 34.8 million

If we sold him for £35 million we will have suffered a cash loss of £17 million but from the accounts point of view we show a profit.

21 May 2025 19:06:20
MikeMT, that makes more sense to me than when my accountant mate tried to explain “book profit. ” Thank you.

21 May 2025 19:12:05
Tom

Not surexhowza, playwr can show what he is worth to the team wh3n he did not have a proper run, how many games has Jackson played without scoring.

For sometime now, Nukunku has known his future is nit with this coach in charge.

21 May 2025 20:53:58
Bill, I think he showed the coach something and unfortunately it wasn’t what I expected.

The very least an attacker can do is make defenders work. Even if Jackson doesn’t score you can always guarantee he will work hard.

If he leaves good luck to him.

21 May 2025 21:41:31
Yes Mike. To add, this by no means, suggests that it was a good transfer. It was bad financially. You can't just look at books you have to take into account PSR. Book profit ignores the PSR and the fact is Nkunku has cost chelsea a touch under £29m, which goes against our losses in PSR, and we got minimal return for that cost.

It would be like saying if united sell casemiro for 16m this summer, it is a book profit. Yes that's true, but he has cost united an awful lot for not much return.

Sorry for poor writing but I work in this area so thought more info would help in addition to mike's.

21 May 2025 22:15:03
Moises, thanks for your input. I have always viewed all signings as a cost with the clock ticking.

We also don’t know of any specific agents costs as well.

Also, Nkunku hasn’t been sold and we have no idea how many clubs are really interested in buying him and we also have no idea what any fee will be.

I will leave the Chelsea accounts to there accountants.

22 May 2025 13:57:09
Hi Tom. Last year chelsea spent £60m on agent fees. The previous year was £75m. Unsurprising for the number of transfers the club made. Both were the highest costs of agent fees in the league. Very, very high figures. Fans can say what they would like to about the owners of the club but one thing they cannot say is that they are not trying financially. They have done a big investment in the squad of the club.
