Reports in the past twenty-four hours suggest that Rosenior's job is far from secure, certainly not as secure as it was reported to be at the start of the international break.

Various links to sounding out Xabi Alonso and Fabregas, but, slightly more concerning, Lampard seems to be the name with the most traction at the moment. With Coventry reportedly sounding out John Eustance to replace him, in the event he does come back for a third term as Chelsea head coach. Surely not?

It's probably the media starting their circus trying to put pressure on the coach.

As Tom says, no decision will be made until the end of season review, and certainly, Lampa should not be the one coming in.

I think the early reports that, no matter what, UCL qualification or not, Rosenior would be keeping his job were very wide of the mark. The odds of him avoiding the exit door, come the end of the season, are not in his favour. Poor results in the next two home fixtures, vs both Manchester clubs, would only go to solidifying those odds.

I'd say his exit has that feeling of inevitability about it, a feeling that we Chelsea fans have come to know all too well. It makes sense that the club would be putting feelers out to who they feel are options to replace Rosenior. What doesn't make sense, for me, is Lampard being one of those, let alone a front runner.

You and me both, J.
