Marc Cucurella, what a player. A brilliant find by the club. Top managers, top coaches love him. A few ignorant click bait pundits like to put him down but their football knowledge is very limited. I hope we keep him, I really do.

G8, I’m not arguing with your opinion about Cucurella but what do we do with our VC Chilwell: very expensive player to be warming the subs bench or treatment table.

I wouldn’t have a clue who of our two LB’s is the more expensive.

After Cucarellas first season, like most fans, I had major confidence about him as a defender. Last season he showed his qualities and versatility while Chilly had another injury plagued season.

So as things stand I would make MC my first choice LB. It will be interesting to see if the club sells one of them and also who our new manager prefers.

I also wonder if the club has anymore potentially outstanding LB’s coming through our academy system?

Chilwell far too pften injured and warming the treatment room couch rather than the bench. Given the conference league fixtures as well we need at least two top players who can fill the LB slot and it looks as though we have sold Maatsen to Villa. Colwill can cover if nees be but it's not his best position surely. So to my mind we need both MC and BC -- if BC can keep fit but can he? If we think not we need to bring in another LB having shipped out Hall and now it seems IM.
