Never been a big fan of Alonso but I wish him good fortune at Barcelona and thank him for his service.

Alonso had his faults but he was good going forward and in the box and put in good crosses. He was loyal to the club, didn’t moan or agitate. I wish him all the best for the future.

I'm probably one of alonsos biggest fans during his time at Chelsea, I am sad to see him go. IMO at his best he was one of the best attacking wingbacks around. The amount of important goals and assist he produced were invaluable. As some have said if he had a bit more pace he would've been an even more special player and as Jimbo says never once did you here him complain, even when he was out the team for so long he comes back and always contributes. A massive thanks from me and I wish him the best.

I never liked Alonso but I thank him for his services, especially the goals he scored against Spurs.
