For me that is down to Potter. Why when we finally make the break through he almost immediately takes off an attacker to put on a midfielder. It took any momentum we had away and everton got back into it. Why wasn't mudryk or madueke used at all especially when everton scored their second? So many poor decisions.

Why should Mudryk be starting?
I think he looks a talent but my guess is no supporter has seen him in training and Pusilic did ok.
If I was substituting Pusilic I would have brought Mudryk as I think he would have stretched them at the back and given Coleman a nightmare.

If when Tuchel took charge we were given the option of scraping 4th on the last day, an FA cup final and a champions league final with a real possibility of winning it, we all would've jumped at the chance given the situation we were in at the time. So why all the hate now?
It's been an incredible start for tuchel. We've beaten the champions twice, Liverpool away, spurs away, the now champions of Spain home and away, Real Madrid over two legs. All with tuchel not even having a transfer window of his own.
Having to quickly find a system that stops leaking goals. There's so much to be excited about, starting next week then on to see what next season brings when tuchel has a chance to put a proper stamp on things. I for one cannot wait.

Craigd, I think we should all be pleased with what the team and TT have achieved this season but I do like winning a trophy.

Agreed, Tom. As poor as we were today I do actually believe we will win it next week. But either way it's still been a positive end to a season which looked like it was going to end in disaster.

Craigd what hate mate?
I think today's game was not an easy watch for us CFC fans partly cos of ongoing problem of attackers failing to convert chances that we've often struggled with this season. We had to be Baled out by Spurs.
As it stands we have lost an FA Cup final and scraped top 4 ie as we did last season, a season that followed the the transfer ban and Hazard' leaving. We were top in November but then slumped baddly through Dec and Jan. Then TT revived team self belief and crucially went back to back 3 that served us so well in second part of last season. We have done brilliantly to get to final of CL and i think have only lost one match getting to this, the second leg v Porto.
All surely agree though that scoring goals/ taking chances still a worry. Saying this is not about hate or negativity its just reporting what's true
But yes if we win on Saturday it will be a real triumph for TT and the team and fantastically wonderful for us fans.
And yes I think we have some brilliant talent in the squad already but like most others on here have said that we probably still need to if add a couple more players of real quality this summer not least a really confident/ top striker to challenge likes of City for EPL next season. But then had always thought getting to this would be a 3 season ie two summer transfer windows project.

I was just referring to the hate against certain players after a defeat. Yes it's always bad losing a game but looking at the bigger picture of the season on a whole, after everything we've been through getting top 4 by any means is an achievement in itself, that's before you add the possibility of the champions league. I just find the hate towards the players unnecessary given I feel everyone has contributed to getting us top 4. Especially the hate towards jorginho and kovacic. There was a spell were they were both immense in midfield, they were keeping kante out the team. It only took kovacic getting injured which brought Kante back in. I do agree we can improve on them though and I think we will but it doesn't take away from what they've contributed this season. I definitely agree our lack of goals is worrying, but I'm wanting werner to be given more time to settle as I believe he will score loads for us eventually. I am most excited about Havertz though, I think he's going to be incredible.

Craigd, I assume that most of the hate gets edited out, thank goodness.
Jorginho is in my opinion a marmite player and I don’t think that will ever change.
The recent comments about his most recent performances as far as I’ve seen have been nothing compared to some comments made about other players earlier in the season. They were the lowest of the low, so I guess it’s not a very high bar.
I have no idea why some posters make criticism personal and as I’ve said before, I can’t imagine what the Eds have to put up with.

So I have been a reader on here for a while but don't post often. I just wanted to give my opinion on the goings on atm. I do feel the change was necessary after the last few weeks. As some have said it seems Lampard has lost the dressing room, and as we know from previous managers when that happens it very hard if not impossible to get it back. We have looked hopeless in defence for a while now and with the squad we have, imo one of the best in the league, we shouldn't be anywhere near the position we are in. We could've risked giving him longer to try change things but our defence has been shocking for the majority of his time in charge I doubt there would be enough change in time to save our season. In that regard, imo it is the correct decision, albeit not one that gives any fan any pleasure. As it looks like it will be touchel, can anyone enlighten me on what sort of manager he is, I know he's known as a good tactician, but what style of play can we expect?

He has a similar pressing style to Klopp, as do a lot of the younger German coaches. I think he's very detailed in his approach and every player has a specific job that they're expected to learn and carry out.
Plays out from the back, usually in a 422 or 442.
From what you hear he has the tendency to fall out with pretty much everyone so that'll be fun.
I'd like to see Rangnick come in above him as a Technical Director.

Eh? You kidding. I’ve seen PSG under this guy, and I never I once thought they play like a Klopp team? In fact if anything his teams are lazy and old hat. He will be sacked at the summer.

He hasn’t even got the job yet and I’ve seen your negativity on at least 3 posts already.
Most of us are gutted it didn’t work for Frank but there’s no point starting the Tuchel out campaign before he’s even sat down.

Ed, do you know if after the defence is sorted, is there any plans to sign any more attackers or centre mids? Or is it a case of players must leave first? Apologies if this has been answered already, I searched and couldn't find the answer.

We're all supposed to be adults here but asking for guidance on how to behave suggests otherwise. But basically telling the eds to suck it up and ignore the abuse they receive isn't going to work. Does Ed002 refuse to give info to any other teams? If not then my guess the issue is within our support not anyone else.

Don't know if you know but all of out other attackers are Injured. Playing with wingbacks helps get more players in the attacking 3rd.

For me too, haven't been impressed with cucurella in the slightest. He looks lost when trying to defend and offers little going forward. So far and I know its early days but he looks a big downgrade on Marcos Alonso. Going forward Hall over Cucurella. Need to get him out the firing line for a bit, imo of course.

I'm probably one of alonsos biggest fans during his time at Chelsea, I am sad to see him go. IMO at his best he was one of the best attacking wingbacks around. The amount of important goals and assist he produced were invaluable. As some have said if he had a bit more pace he would've been an even more special player and as Jimbo says never once did you here him complain, even when he was out the team for so long he comes back and always contributes. A massive thanks from me and I wish him the best.

Oh yeah that's true, I'd forgotten about that Tom. I am sure something will be sorted in January in regards to cover/ replacement for Alonso and we will be fine. ?.

100% Jimbo. I am looking forward to the WCC and hoping for a better showing than the last time. I do think we will get top 4 though and if we get James and Chilwell back and keep them fit I hope we can challenge for 2nd.
