Hi Ed002 just a question on the process when trying to sign for a specific position. Osimhen obviously looks like the priority for striker but do Chelsea have a plan B already provisional agreed if there is no agreement for their number one target? i. e confirming what the selling club will likely accept for said player and what the player may agree for wages etc?
Second question, Marmadashvile looked like he was going to Liverpool but no confirmation as yet. If available is he someone Chelsea may still go for or are we done with goal keepers for this window?

A cheeky question for ED002. Is Chelsea’s main striker target an experience proven striker or a young striker with bags of potential? Also is the plan just to add an out and striker or someone more versatile that can play in different positions or are they looking to sign both? Thanks for all your updates!

I imagine it’s always the case and hence why there’s a number of targets but are we finding it difficult ( for whatever reason ) obtaining our first choice targets?

Well I believe our first choice was Osimhen but he’s too expensive and his salary demands are high too. 2nd choice I believe was Sesko, he’s signed a new contract and not leaving this summer. No idea about who’s 3rd or 4th etc. Been hearing that Duran’s wage demands are a tad high too, not to mention the reported £40m fee being too high. Atletico don’t want to sell Omorodion.
Strikers are in short supply especially top quality ones. I’d argue the 3 best options out there currently are Osimhen, Martinez and Alvarez, 2 of which aren’t available and the 3rd exorbitantly expensive. Then you have a 2nd tier such as Sesko, Zirkzee, David, Giminez, Guirassey, Dobvyk. Sesko is staying, Zirkzee has Milan and Utd after him. Dobvyk I believe we were told wasn’t being sold (perhaps to be moved to City in a year or so) . So left we have David, Giminez and Guirassey. No idea if we have any interest in the latter 2 but there is some reported interest in David so that could be an option with him being in the last year of his contract. Rumoured Milan wanted him to partner Zirkzee ( although might be mistaken) and Napoli wanting him as a Osimhen replacement.
After that we have the Duran and Omorodion’s of the world. Young players of relative little experience but high potential. Some clubs have stated they’re not for sale and in the case of Duran there’s some issues which are hurdles atm.
Looks to be a very tough summer for signing a striker.

What does everyone see in Martinez? Perhaps I've just had bad timing but every time I've watched him he was thoroughly disappointing.

Osihmen although would be nice I don't think we need him as we have plenty of good options in striker position, although he is a target number 9 which we don't have. I think Felix will play as a nine dropping into midfield to support play., he is perfect for EM style. Jackson will only improve and Guiu is rough diamond who I see as bit similar to Vardy!, works his socks off and always looking for space. Nkunku can also cover in that position although I think is best position is 2nd striker. Plenty of options so all looks good. COYB.

I like the look of Marmadashvilli and Costa! Think they both may be realistic targets! One of these and upgrade striker and I think we are good to go. Ed002 is there still interest in the both? Thank you.

CG will always be appreciated by fans for his heart, energy and always giving 100%.
Although he did improve last season some of his pressing was a bit headless and his distribution once he won the ball wasn’t always the greatest, although decent at times and generally better than previous seasons!
I think he should have signed the contact offered and fought for the chance to prove he could fit into a possession based team.
I think the club would have been mad to offer a 5/ 6 year contract if unsure he would fit EM playing style. I feel the offer on the table was fair and showed commitment to a long standing academy graduate whilst minimising the risk to the club. Good luck to CG I think the move will suit him.

Disappointing season, injuries partly to blame. Potchettino deserves credit for second half performance. Caicedo MoM, Badishille very good today, best game so far in blue shirt! all we need is a proper number 9 Gyokeres, Maignan in goal and an experienced CB an we will challenge next season! Would play Jackson left, Palmer right and Nkunku 10 with Gyokeres number 9! Onwards and upwards COYB.
