A little piece of information released by Euro United;

- Fali Ramadani has been trying to float Maurizio Sarri's name around Serie A, hoping to find a suitor.

- Pini Zahavi has been in discussions with Chelsea reps regarding Thomas Tuchel, and Jorge Jesus.

- Laurent Blanc still in connections with the club, but is also in discussions with Lyon.

You suggesting that Sarri is off? I can only see him found with mutual consent, wanting to return to Italy. However, we can't keep 'starting again' with new managers. Sarri may not be the best we've had, but it's about time we allowed someone time.

2.) 01 May 2019 14:18:29
I'm not suggesting anything. I stated the source. And Euro United are stating that Sarri is open to going back to Italy.

Hello Ed's. Hope you're both in great spirits.

Is there any sort of update on our hunt for a potential director or has attention turned elsewhere for the time being? It was a hot topic over the summer, yet it seems that all talk has since disappeared. Strange considering it's a high-profile position at a high-profile club.

RyRyLloyd

{Ed001's Note - sorry mate I don't know, it is not my area at all. I would be sure they will still be working on it.}

1.) 04 Dec 2018 14:43:34
Thank you for the response, Ed001. Just to pick your brain, who are the two, three names you’d recommend the club push forward for, for that particular position?

{Ed001's Note - I honestly don't know, it is not really my area at all. I would want to do my research before I put forward any names, not just into potential people but also into exactly what the role entails.}

Afternoon, Ed001 and Ed002. Hope all is well with you two. I enjoy the input that you consistently give on the matters behind the scenes at United, so mind me if I ask about two much-publicised matters regarding Chelsea FC.

First question; is there any update on the Eden Hazard contract situation? I understand he's been talking to the media, and has been honest and upfront. What is the feeling behind the scenes regarding him? Is he just as likely to sign as he is to leave?

Second question; any updates in regards to the sale of the club? There's been plenty of rumours floating about potential buyers, with the two most popular coming in the form of Jim Ratcliffe and Paul Allen. What is the feeling at the club regarding this matter?

Thank you!

RyRyLloyd

{Ed001's Note - impossible to answer the first one as it is a personal choice for him to make.

As far as I am aware there is no intention to sell the club right now.}

Just a quick query for you both, Ed001, and Ed002.

Jose Mourinho. Yes, I am aware he's recently signed a new contract, or at least close to signing a new contract at Manchester United. but from what I can gather, he is still living at the Lowry Hotel, and his wife and children are still living at Chelsea, or close to Chelsea.

Would Mourinho be interested in returning? Would Roman ever be interested in bringing Jose back? I read that Mourinho and Roman shared a meal and a drink after the home fixture this season, so that goes to show that their relationship is in a pretty decent state.

RyRyLloyd

{Ed001's Note - yes and not with the players that are there.}

1.) 19 Apr 2018 04:35:23
Interesting. Truth be told, these current crop of player are nothing but poisonous. Their on again, off again mentality to football is nothing short of horrid, I’ll be honest in saying that as soon as the window opens, both Hazard and Courtois are out of the door. Both footballlers who despite being older, still reply on their supposed potential. Both are dubbed to have world class ability, my pale white arse, they aren’t world class. They turn up when they want to and I’m sick of seeing them dragging this club through the dirt.

Ed001, question based on opinion more so than anything else. Do you see Mourinho managing Chelsea for a third term?

{Ed001's Note - in time, probably. The area has become the family's home so it would make sense to him.}

2.) 19 Apr 2018 05:02:06
It would be quite fitting for Mourinho to be Chelsea’s manager in the first game at the revamped Stamford Bridge, whenever that may be.

3.) 19 Apr 2018 20:45:57
Look it’s ended badly twice. I think enough is enough. Why don’t as I saw suggested we go with an up and coming manager and given a brief to build a young team. Aimed at the future. Then we can have a base of 5-6 players and then build round that.

4.) 20 Apr 2018 09:43:38
If Conte is replace, we need to promote Jody Morris potentially to number 2 or along those lines. He has worked wonders with our Youth.

JT, Lamps and Drogba coming back in some form wouldn't go a miss either!

Ed001,or Ed002 for that matter considering your track record speaks for itself.

This may seem like an idiotic question. but is there any interest from the higher-up’s in making us look like a competitive outfit? Is there a plan in what we’re aiming to be? Or are those higher-ups content with the inmates running the asylum and ruining everything that’s been created and achieved since the 90’s, let alone 2004.

We looks a shadow of our former selves, and your comment the other day Ed about there being no plan in reshaping the playing squad is rather frightening indeed.

On that note, what is going on with the director of football, or technical director role? Nothing has been mentioned of it in months? Has the search been postponed?

What is going on?

RyRyLloyd

{Ed002's Note - (a) I have no idea what you mean about a being a "competitive outfit". Chelsea remain in four competitions this season and I appreciate they lost yesterday. (b) I don't know which Ed made the comment you refer to, you would need to point me at it. (c) There has been some progress regarding the Director of Football role. (d) I am not going to get involved in explaining what is going on.}

Not going to lie, the prospect of us losing Hazard has me a wee bit excited. We’re currentky relaying way too much on a single player, and it’s completely foreign for a club of our stature, and for a big club in general.

Before Hazard, we used to rely on a number of footballers, offensively or defensively. Since 2013, we’ve become a shadow of what we once were. We’ve won a number of honours, sure, but there’s no doubting that our offensive game has relied on Hazard way too much. Likewise from a defensive point of view with Kante since 2016.

This summer, and in particularly Hazard’s departure should be used as a restart for this club. To wipe clean of the reliance this club, and it’s players have had, and to kick-start a fresh new era. One that doesn’t have 10 players turning towards one to create, or finish a chance.

Roll on the summer!

I agree in a way let’s get a few quality players in. Pepe and Fekir attacking wise and I’m hoping for either Koulibaly or Romagnoli for CB and either Mendy or Chilwell for LB. with Reece James returning as RB.

2.) 06 Feb 2019 22:42:54
RyRy and Ranger, I’ve stated I would rather Hazard remained with us but I have to say I’m a bit like you guys, the idea of some players coming in allied with a few of our youngsters is very exciting and appealing.

3.) 06 Feb 2019 23:57:42
I would rather him remain Tom if he says actually I love Chelsea whether real want me or not and sign not constantly flirt otherwise get rid. I love Hazard but I’ve had enough. It feels like we can’t move on as a club until he decides what to do which is quite frankly a joke.

4.) 07 Feb 2019 03:19:41
To not rely on hazard we need to improve the squad. Not sell our best player. Excited to lose hazard . that’s interesting.

5.) 07 Feb 2019 09:04:06
That’s why i said lose Hazard and replace him with two quality players in Fekir and Pepe. Try reading it properly. We’ll never replace Hazard with anyone better. So might as well just invest in a couple of quality players.

6.) 07 Feb 2019 10:24:53
Would be exciting linked to some big names to replace him, but can’t help but think instead of Bakyoko n drinkwater and others we could of added these players and he would want to stay?

7.) 07 Feb 2019 15:06:45
Let the best premier league player go I’ve heard it all now.

8.) 07 Feb 2019 16:45:57
Nibby, The vast majority of fans don’t want him to go and I’m sure the club do NOT want him to leave, hence the contract offer.
It would appear he wants to leave and if that is the case I think the club will have no choice but to sell him with just one year left in his current contract.
It is NOT a case of the club letting him go!

9.) 07 Feb 2019 19:02:18
I’m a Chelsea fan and I wouldn’t say he’s the best player.

Merry Christmas to you both, Ed001 and Ed002. Keep up with the good work, and the top quality football-related opinions. It is greatly appreciated.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks.}

Ed001, now that Jose has been dismissed from his position as manager, his family settled in London and his apparent still great relationship with Roman, don't you think it's only a matter of time before he's back at the Bridge?

It was rather shocking to see how open, and collected he was after his dismissal with United, compared to us, where he was said to have been distraught.

RyRyLloyd

{Ed001's Note - not really, I suppose anything is possible but I can't see him going back a 3rd time.}

1.) 21 Dec 2018 19:59:46
Think he will end up in Italy then maybe Portuguese national team.

13 Oct 2018 14:27:56
Hello, Ed002. Hope all is well.

You mentioned on the Manchester United page that clubs have spoken with Chelsea regarding Antonio Conte. Care to enlighten us in regards to who these clubs are?

Thank you.

RyRyLloyd

{Ed002's Note - No, I can't help on the Chelsea page.}

Given Atletico’s financial predicament, I think we’re in a favourable position. Especially when you add in Kepa, a keeper who is seemingly highly rated back home, and a ready-made replacement for Oblak at Atletico.

I would imagine it’s to do with Morata, and us re-structuring the deal in a way that’ll ease Atletico’s financial issues.

Yep. It just wouldn't represent good business to offload players who are not only reaching the latter part of their careers, but also coming off a season or two where their performances have been questionable at best.

Lampard's and Sarri's style aren't too dissimilar, and Pjanic has largely struggled under Sarri, have no idea why we would consider swapping Jorginho with someone who has proven he can't do the same job.

He's going to look back on his career with so much regret. He could have been special. A top prospect who hasn't even scraped the barrel of what he could have offered.

Bakayoko at the time of purchase was seen as a good prospect, having been in the midfield of a side that reached that year's semi-finals of the Champions League. I know looking back it's clear to see the move wasn't a good one, but let's not act like it wasn't a shrewd signing at the time.

I typically judge expectations or predictions on where they’re ranked with the bookies. Derby were listed as ninth favourites. Eight teams were tipped to be ahead of them. Derby’s squad consisted of a number of over-the-hill footballers in their 30’s who have made a career of playing in the Championship, and a group of youngsters with little to no experience playing senior football.

Based on that, I think Frank overachieved.

Speak for yourself. I'd love Jose back. He's blue, through and through and ingrained in the club's history. A legend. Dare I say it, an icon. Has nostalgia blinded my views? No doubt. Still, he's top class and his family is based down the road. He's at home with us. He just needs to settle the **** down!

Your response is very much appreciated, Ed. That said, that answer does not fill me with hope. I fear there’ll be an even bigger gap between us and the likes of City and Liverpool following the summer.

Why are you talking out of your backside, Mrs. Costa? Sarri said the actual signing came as a surprise. He also said regarding Pulisic;

“The club asked my opinion about him one month ago. My opinion was positive and today I've known that the deal is done. "

He knew the club was looking at Pulisic, so much so that they directly asked him about the player.
