Thought Christensen was superb tonight he's always better when he doesn't have to match a physical striker that's why I think he'd be better abroad but credit where it's due. Pulisic superb and also a big shout out to Willian. Not my cup of tea but I'll continue to back him until he goes.
Mixed reviews on Kante wasn't great on the ball but when does a DM have to be? Ndidi ain't, Casemiro ain't? Just needs a proper passer next to him which for me is little Billy Gilmour. Blimey anyone see his ping cross field to Pedro. Boy is ready NOW.

Agree but Casemiro is actually decent on the ball but I get your point all the same. I feel more confident with Kante sitting in front of the four.

Me too, think a Gilmour, Kante, Loftus-Cheek three would have the best balance going forward with creativity, defence and power and technicality.

Seriously BLM? I don’t understand how people keep passing over Mount and Kovacic in favour of Loftus Cheek. I can’t help but feel because Loftus Cheek was the first of the ‘big’ potential names to come out our academy that people keep overrating him dreadfully. The guy is 24 and he’s hardly played a sniff of football for us and when he has there has never been a genuine standout performance that merits him this apparent first team place. Just my opinion please anyone let me know if they disagree but I think we have much better and can sign much better as well.

Not that I keep passing over them mate but with one of either Mount or Kovacic none of them are 6’3 like Ruben and good in the air. It’s nice to have a big technical player in there and we need all the help we can get at the moment with set pieces. Hopefully it’s Havertz next season 😉.

I wish some people would watch RLC before calling him dreadfully overrated. For certain this poster doesn't watch many games or must have missed all the games RLC bosses before his injury. 13 months out with injury and expects heroics. jeez.

I don’t ever post but that RLC post has annoyed the heck out of me. People aren’t hyping him, we watched him play for palace and plenty of games for Chelsea. Before his injury he was the best player on the pitch outside of hazard. His impact on the game and specific moments showed real class and we know what player he can be. He had a tough game against Villa but the lad was out for a year! He’s shown in the past even with a small injury he needs 2-3 games to find his stride, he may not come back as the same player. However if he does come back to his best nobody else is close to as good as him.

Agree with Shak and above poster that’s a terrible post. Ya Chelsea fans will tell the truth about players. We’ve had to watch really poor players alongside Hazard for years and not built around him. Loftus-Cheek is quality.

I think RLC is quality but the concern - as pt quite often by the Eds too - is whether/ how his injuries have affected him. Seems to have long-rem back injury, and v hard coming back after achilles tendon one. But if fully fit, and with game time, he has already shown us he can be a wonderful player.
{Ed0666's Note - gotta feel sorry for the lad. I hope he can go on and have a healthy career at the top level.
