As things stand who does everyone fancy for player of the season. I’d have to go for Azpi so far, so layer two or three positions this year got a few big goals and assists.
But Chris Pulisic could still take the mantle with a few games to go which is crazy considering how much of the season he has missed and that he is still only 21. 18 starts 8 goals and 3 assists, remarkable first season and he just looks like one of the best players on the pitch every time he comes back in no matter how long he has been away he shows no “ring rust”.

{Ed0666's Note - Pulisic is the real deal mate. His potential is frightening, you have a potential ballon d’or winner on you’re hands. Love him

There were a few times yesterday where his thought process was way ahead of the other players.

Really looking forward to him fitting in with Werner and Ziyech next season. With Havertz potentially coming in too, Hudson-Odoi is really going to have to step up to the plate. We're going to have some attacking unit though.

Pulisic’s problem is staying fit but I do agree. there's hardly been any creativity in the squad this year and he’s scored 7 and assisted 2 in 18 and a lot of them have been cameo roles at the start for 10 minutes or so. Wait till he’s feeding off Ziyech’s back post crosses next season, and through midfield of Havertz 😉 Mount player of the season for me he’s very underrated and works his socks off. Scored a lot of important goals for me too. I like Kovacic seeing as he dribbles but don’t know what else he’s great at so for me I’d prefer Mount.

Agree about Pulisic, I know a few Older heads who thought we had signed him with commercial success in mind, but much like Park Ji Sung before him at United he has proved he is here to try and be part of a legendary side.
I just love mason mount and I think he has the complete trust of the management which is important at a young age, when he won the ball off City last night right in front of their back four and drove into the box I felt like the whole bench thought he was gonna/ had put that in (he didn’t but that isn’t the point), which when you think of a 21 year old first season in Prem on his left foot at a slight angle against maybe the best keeper in the league, you wouldn’t think they would be so confident. I’m so excited for him and Chris.
With Hudson-Odoi I’m starting to loose my fire for him, I followed him so closely at youth and England youth level and he was just way too good for his age, came into the team against lower league/ foreign league lesser opposition in cup games like most young guys do and again looked too good for that level. It’s his attitude that jars me sometimes, I grew up not far from him and us young boys in London can have abit of a chip sometimes and he comes across no different, I used to watch him last season a lot make a missed place pass and it will roll out of play or try and slide in Azpi/ zapapcosta for an overlap and put too much Onit and first thing he would do most times is throw his hands up the air, throw his head back abit and tut while the experienced RB whichever one is playing would apologise or give a thumbs up and I just used to think Wow. I can literally not think of a single 17/ 18 year old that would react the way he does sometimes towards senior players and when he outright looses the ball he quite rightly gets a little frustrated with himself but he should notice no ones getting on his case about it. The thing with holding out for a massive contact (He is the second highest paid teenager in world football) and this ignoring lockdown thing. Individually they are silly little things but your 19 haven’t even played 50 league games and there’s a little pattern emerging for me in his attitude.

he was brilliant last 2 games
Big statement but I prefer him to hazard already more clinical in front of goal and isn't scared to shoot.

The fact that Pulisic will be in the conversation is actually crazy. His not played much for various reasons but his contribution is priceless.

For me if Pulisic decides the next few games and gets us the top 4 then for me he is the player of the year. Ed66 I agree mate he has all the ingredients to be the best.

Kovacic is also a standout. Azpi has had a good campaign. Very good post.

I would say Kovacic by a pretty comfortable margin. He won’t necessarily get people excited but he’s exceptional at what he’s asked to do and it is criminally under appreciated. Pulisic has been great when he played but he’s also missed a good bit of time. I think it’s tough to expect much from CHO in the first year following an Achilles injury, not to mention he missed the entirety of the preseason and subsequent tactical changes.

Has to be Kovacic but also a shout to Tammy who has proved that he can score goals at this level.

Brilliant 1st season for Pulisic (although not sure about putting him ahead of Hazard, GG) - just needs to stay injury free.

A bit harsh on CHO who is coming back from a serious injury and hasn't really had many minutes on the pitch - next season will be the time to judge CHO.
