In my humble opinion EF has generally improved over the course of this season.

I have eventually found a site that I could see, belatedly, the Argentina V Brazil played last night. He was brilliant and totally bossed the game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tom, I agree but we are talking about a £100 million player.
It is being reported that the club have ruled out a stand by stand redevelopment of SB which imo was the worst of the options.

He earned rave reviews for his performance in that game Tom and without doubt is a fantastic talent. The question is though are we playing to his strengths?

Jimbo, I saw that rumour about the club ruling out a stand by stand redevelopment as well and as I had previously seen that was Clearlakes preferred option it now begs the question as to which way the ownership is going to go? or have they thrashed things out and agreed on a joint plan? At least things are being discussed. After all, we had 20 years of ownership under Roman and nothing was ever done regards a new stadium.

Anna

Under Roman, you are correct that a new stadium was not built, but at least plans were drawn up.

I just wonder what would have happened if the government had not stepped in first with a visa restriction and then a full-blown sanctions that almost forced us to lose money out of business.

The new ownership came in all guns blazing and yet we are not even in a position to even talk about a SB development or the option I prefer, to move away all together.

Anna, you raise yet another good point about EF’s best position. In the last few months he has got into the box more and he has also gone beyond the forwards more often. Both of these attributes were displayed in the last international game.

It will be interesting to see what EM does when Lavia is 100% fit with our three best midfielders.

Bill, the owners have spoken on several occasions about the SB development project over the last few years and attended CPO board meetings to answer questions and give updates.

We and the owners are awaiting the assessment/ report from the director with responsibility for the project. Supposedly that report is expected this summer.

27 Mar 2025 12:04:47
Tom do you see any major problems from the sbpowners whichever way the club go it is obvious wr need some development just which is the best most cost effective
Gorgeous me it would be to move to earls court as we can still play at the bridge until completion.

As the summer is fast approaching, I will leave the SB project out of my discussions and give the owners a chance to outline their plans in the summer.

Any news on the FOS sponsor for next season Tom, has the CPO been updated on that issue?

27 Mar 2025 16:51:34
Johnfozzie, yes I can see problems occurring in the future with our owners.

While I’m not worried about boardroom tiffs, I have never been convinced that all the shareholders have the same vision for the club. On top of that we might find the egos of very successful men getting in the way of logic.

Of course I am only guessing about the personalities and I have no way of knowing who would we be a better owner. Some say they would prefer TB as a single owner but I haven’t got a clue about the bloke.

27 Mar 2025 16:54:15
Bill, the CPO asked questions about a FOS sponsor at there meeting with directors of the club in late January. I can’t remember when the next CPO meeting is but I can’t imagine it will be before the season ends.

Thank you Tom.
