An initial glance at the most recent CFC financials look pretty good.

I guess any FFP/ PSR worries have disappeared for a while.

Agree0 Disagree0

The club is in pretty good shape Tom, the squad is young with some exceptional young talent, the owners appear to have a plan going forward and finance is in place to complete the jigsaw. Striker and goalkeeper being the priority. Big push needed to secure top 5 and win a cup or even 2.

Anna, I assume the “internal” sale of the ladies team is included in the results but the post tax profit should keep the wolves away for a while.

I’m still not convinced they will sign a keeper. There are some very comments about Petrovic being made at the moment.

I think a striker is needed and this is just me but I think the club might surprise a few people with the signing of a more experienced CF.

Not to be a downer here, and I'm not massively educated. but I wouldn't say the financials looked good looking deeper. The losses were massively offset by the selling of the hotels and selling the women's team to ourselves.

Club really need to get there s*** together and soon. A FOS sponsor and UCL qualification will be huge. I know the club world cup will help too but there's only so many subsidiaries you can sell to offset a few years of poor financials.

Standard, I may well be wrong but I think the sale of the two (awful) hotels were in last years results.

I have made my views very clear about FFP and PSR but as long as these financial parameters set by governing bodies exist in there present form the sale of assets will be important for most clubs.

Standard you can't say your not educated enough then say they need to get there s**t together soon.

I am sure these buisness men are more educated as you and I. And they have created a profit for ffp and psr. By finding loop holes.

We all get that you don't like the ownership group but come on!

Cfc

The owners indeed have found loop holes over the last two financial years to assist with PSR which is good however if the 'business was profitable, they would not need the loop holes.

And you think it was profitable under roman? And I loved what he did for our club. And one day hope he can come back.
But hidden payments, transfer bans.

The new guys have found loop holes and have kept spending. Again we could of had a jim Ratcliffe. Who cuts every penny he can from people who actually need the money. Then says they are going to spend billions on a new stadium.

Clearly our owners new they had sellable assets when they purchased the club and spent all the money on transfers we have a good young side with the clear exception of a position or two,

Champions league would obviously help in the near future but mid term I am quite optimistic.

Cfc, I can when we're spending massive amounts on transfer fees, and operating in the red (without these loophole sales, which is just embarrassing for the sport and something I don't support at all, it's unfair) . I'm quite sad that the fan base of a football club has got to the point when we are celebrating loopholes. That's not good for the sport.

Regarding me not liking the owners, I've got no feeling towards them, I think they've done an absolutely terrible job though and I'm sure that's the overwhelming consensus among football fans and experts.

Seems a very childish way to view things.
Am sure your generation of giving everyone a medal for finishing a race because it is unfair than someone is faster, stronger or more intelligent than someone else is to blame for you thinking it's unfair.

Is that way you called caicedo and jackson donkeys then when you was called out for it. Blatantly denied it then left the site for a while all because it's unfair.

01 Apr 2025 19:50:20
I’m not sure there is an “overwhelming consensus” from football fans of experts.

Fans, experts, pundits are all so fickle. It’s only a few months ago when a significant amount of those fans, experts and pundits were singing the praises of our current owners.

Success on the pitch will almost certainly change people’s views and the same applies to failure in the pitch. Both scenarios will bring out the “I told you so” brigade.

Some people are realists tomb. And can see good and bad points.

But then some have only seen the good from chelsea due to being young. And now that we aren't winning the league it's "unfair"

I love winding up apprentices at work because they always resort to its unfair. How can chelsea spend all that. They are just getting all the best youth talent. Whine whine whine.
