What is Reece James doing in midfield? he is totally clueless in that position, only a total fool would even consider playing him in there. (and we have young players who play there on the bench) . Please play players in their correct positions.

Greenaway, I’m not a fan of this so called inverted FB tactic and that for me isn’t working but I do think James is such an athlete he could play anywhere.

Greenway I agree such a shame seeing arguably our best player played out of position. You look at what he did for England when used correctly.

Greenway, I didn’t say I see him as a midfielder. I said he is such an athlete he could play anywhere. For me he is one of the best RB’s in world football and I do not understand why he isn’t playing there as his best position. Stop being clever and play players in there best position.

All subjective about when it is justified, you are just the most positive chelsea fan I think I've ever seen on here during my time (rationally positive, I remember some people like curt, and pinky, that would claim were the greatest side ever when we were 10th lol) so it is telling taht even you are critical.

Tom, to be one of the best right backs in the world you have to play consistently at the highest level. James has the potential but he must stay fit to receive such an accolade. He is not a midfielder though he could play there as a stop gap. I agree that players should be played in their best position. Maresca has made it clear he is not going to change, so more of the same to come.

Standard, this has become so boring. When I find the need to be critical I am critical.
I have NOT said the manager is brilliant or good at his job, I have been critical of some of the SD’s signings and I have certainly been critical of our owners.
I will make my final assessment about all things at the end of the season as I generally do every year. In the meantime I will be positive when I think it’s justified and negative when I think it’s justified. I will not call players or the manager stupid names.

Standard, yep if it what it is. Other than saying that KDH was just about ok last night and James is a good athlete, I don’t recall saying a single thing about last nights performance that was in anyway positive.
In fact the vast majority of my comments about certain players and the manager from “game to game” have been negative.

Tom, you don’t need to clarify for my liking. I think you understand my point. : James is not one of the best right backs because he hasn’t been playing at the highest level for around three seasons. If he stayed fit he could be. However, I have my doubts about that. If we were to get a reasonable offer for him I would let him go.
