My guess is it was because Santos wasn’t in the premiership squad for last season. He still has it all to prove in the premiership but he looks a talented and a good prospect for the future.

Tom, I presume you mean Santos, who was playing regularly and getting rave reviews. Watching training isn’t the be all and end all and he wasn’t watching Santos in competitive games. I suppose it depends on how you trust Maresca’s judgement. I know where I stand on that.

I do mean Santos. I go back to your original post when you asked why he didn’t mention Santos.
I’m saying he has only just joined the squad while the other two he did apparently mention were in the squad. Seems reasonable/ understandable to me.
Your absolute dislike for the manager is well known so your comment about his judgement is hardly a surprise.
