Very bad news about LC's cruciate ligament injury and immediate surgery. Terrible blow for him and CFC generally. Just hope he can make a complete recovery in time but presumably will be a pretty long time.

Terrible news JBS, the boy was starting to show real leadership and form and now likely out for the season. Maybe a chance for Veiga to stay? or do we go to the market? Hato is good but young, do you throw him straight in? BB is injured, Fofana is getting fit but there is always a doubt over him, leaves Trev and Tosin plus young Josh. Really highlights the need for 25 top top players in a modern day squad.

Yes to compete onvall fronts a top squad needs quality player cover for all positions. LC was looking the real deal. Hato is young but mainly seen as cover for Cucurella rather than left CB though if LC bot injured in preseason he might have covered both. Veiga may have been a good shout but likelihood club want to cash in on him now plus may have annoyed some by only wanting to be play at CB. We'll see. Otherwise we may need an addition to CBs before window closes and given Fofana injury record plus fact that he and TC more right side CBs as is Josh. Though I guess all plus Tosin need to be flexible when called upon.
I hope the rigours of CWC and relatively little recovery time won't mean more injuries to tired limbs.

JBS, as EM said in his press conference he and the club don’t know what effect, if any, the CWC will have on there season.
I personally think that EM will have to box very clever with rotation. I can honestly see the max amount of games played by any player being between 35-45 this season.

Very bad to hear about Levi’s injury; just as he’d had established himself as a top class CB. Reports suggest it is an ACL injury which means he will be out for some time. I am a bit concerned about the lack of quality in our CB options that and the keeper position . I had those concerns before the need about Colwill, in all other areas we can compete with any team in the PL. What’s happening about Fofana is he back to fitness? Some reports suggesting we are interested in Araujo?

Fofana is back in training Jimbo but not sure when he will be given game time and presumably his comeback to full match fitness needs to be handled very carefully.
