I think many us still worry about the GF poosition despite Sanchez improving towards the end of last season including at CWC especally in final. But especially in terms of long ball distrubution and shot stopping. He still looks uncomfortable with ball at feet though when contemplating short ball distribution plus get his positioning wrong in fre play in box plus when attacker advancong towards box.
Still there may be fangers in other options too. Donnaruma is avaioable and certainly v expressed despite still only 26 pluys a commanding [aerial presence in box. Yet I wasn't v impressed by him in CWC if particularly relatve slowness to get down low to right or left ie perhaps not the nimblest given that commanding size?
Then there seems to be Ederson available too and you'd think we might be interested in him given the style of football and passing out from back Maresco wants us to play in City style. I;m not sure though why City would be willing to sell him unless he began to get less reliable last season? Certainly his passing out from back seemed excellent plus long ball distribution. Is is his positioning or shot stopping getting less treliable?
Maignan didn't look that great against us at the Bridge either albeit they were down to ten men!?
So who would those on this site go for or would you prefer to stick with Sanchez -or promote Jorgensen - and wait for Penders return from loan as hopefully 'real deal' in a season or two's time given he has only just turned 20?

Same old tune from me. I would sign Costa asap or start Jorgensen and give him a run of games.

If they really rate Penders should have kept him in the squad would of liked a look at Kellegher who went to Brentford but it will be Sanchez.

Cooper not someone whose been mentioned before Ed001 so what do you see in him that would suggest he is top class?
Tom I agree about giving Jorgensen a run . doesn't seem as if we're linked with Costa?
{Ed001's Note - he has broken through late, so only stepped up to the Championship recently but every time I see him, he impresses me. He just looks a good, all-round keeper.}

Maignan looks utterly hopeless now and a huge downgrade on what we have, Donnaruma would want crazy wages and looks a shadow of his former self and would block young Penders. Costa I know nothing about really. Sels at Forest would be my pick but I think we will stick with what we have.

Thanks Ed001 for further info on Cooper who i've never seen and RPD I've also been impressed by Sells the few times I've seen him.
