I'm not sure how many on this site went to the game yesterday?

For me one of the big disappointments was our "fans" lack of vocal support. I'm not sure if that stems from having almost a sense of entitlement and therefore they don't have to show there support but yesterday particularly when we went down to ten men our vocal support was almost silent.

In years gone by Chelsea going down to ten me would have rallied the fans to get behind there team. I'm sure some will say that we lose players so often to red cards the fans are just bored with it but when your club is down to tbe men or playing badly you support them more not less.

Our away fans seem still be loud and proud, it's about time home fans supported the team the way.

Of course the team needs to give us something to shout about but us fans have to play our part in lifting our team's performances.

Poor performance from the team and poor performance from us fans.

Even the Burnley players said that they noticed how quiet our fans were, which helped them.

Tom, the atmosphere was terrible and has been all season, apart from maybe the Barcelona game and the Liverpool game. Where I sit, the usual season ticket holders don't seem to be going anywhere near as much.

I personally think it's got far too expensive for your normal working fan to go, but it's also too easy for season ticket holders to off load their tickets on the ticket exchange.

Whitey, both those observations are probably true. I think some other teams only allow a few exchanges and no shows, and they take your st back. Anyway, yesterday was a truly awful atmosphere. I have this theory about certain bars remaining open and serving booze throughout the match.

The atmosphere at the Bridge for many home games against 'lesser' clubs has often been poor in recent seasons, in my opinion. Perhaps partly because of expectations of winning from many season ticket holders or members in the East and West Stands particularly, but also because more tickets for those games, with no loyalty points attached for members to get tickets, probably fall into the hands of non-regular goers who don't know chants or just sit watching.

But absolutely, we need to get behind the team, particularly when a man down, or behind in the game, or when the result is still in doubt.
