I have supported my club for a long time. During that time I think I have seen us relegated four times. I’ve seen us sell our best “ever” player to pay off debt and avoid bankruptcy. I seen a verbal between shareholders, followed by a period of success when we were taken over by a mega rich oligarch.
Those long periods of failure made me appreciate that period of success. I know there are zero guarantees in football. I have always started each season hoping we win every competition but obviously only one team can win a competition, so you always have more chance of disappointment than you have of being happy.

This season has been disappointing and even if we win the FA Cup I will still be disappointed but I’m happy to support “my club” my way. I have very little interest in “continuously” slagging off players, managers, SD’s or owners.

So, today I will supporting and expecting my club to win and take us to another final.

Come on my mighty Blues.

No one can question the leaders.
All doing a great job, nothing to change.

Kazblue

Tom was just giving his views throughout his time supporting our great club. Sadly, I have the same history timeline. Tom also mentioned, like all of us, his disappointment for this season.

That being said, I am not sure about his views on today's result, but I hope he is right and I am wrong.

Kazblue, I will support my club my way through good times and bad times.
You are obviously entitled to support your club the way you want.

I will criticise my club the way I want. You can obviously criticise your club in your own way.

I have always supported my club more when the bad times demand it. Others may choose to do things differently.

My sentiments exactly, Tom. Great post, mate, and enjoy the game.

Totally agree, Tom. We have had some really bad times, but also some great times, with hopefully more great times to come.

Thanks, Bill and Greenaway. It does make me wonder how the CST and some other supporters would react if we started being a yo-yo club again.
I also remember us being the club that lots of comedians used as a joke punchline. Of course, we then went through the "we bought the league" generation. Obviously, that has been my favourite period... So far!

I have supported "the club" for decades. Through highs and lows, I have always enjoyed it and looked forward to the next season. Unfortunately, things have changed for me. These eejits have turned Champions League winners at the top table into mid-table also-rans. I could say more but I can't be bothered.

Supporting the team for ages would suggest you were around when we had the Mears family as owners or maybe Bates and Harding, who absolutely hated each other. They were hardly glory years, but I enjoyed them nevertheless.

26 Apr 2026 17:21:16
Tom, true, not much glory in those days, but I always looked forward to going to the Bridge, and, as I said, the next season. The enjoyment has been sucked out of me. Hopefully, my doom and gloom is misplaced, and things will improve.

As I said previously, I think this summer will be important as regards the direction of the club. I really find it hard to believe that the owners can't see what is going wrong and what needs to change.

26 Apr 2026 17:41:22
As I mentioned before, Jimbo, I believe this could be our most important ever window. Get the manager appointment wrong again and it would be disastrous.

yes yes the bates and harding days, relegation struggling to suvive poor results all part of the clubs history.

However, ken bates as much of a scumbag as the man is - if he spent the 1.86billion these owners have- i wonder what fans would be saying.

im sure these owners have done things well or correctly.i just can't think of any.

good result today and how amazing it would be if Arsenal win nothing, spurs or west ham go down (hate both so not fussed) and we win the cup

I think the point was more about supporting the team/club when they play poorly, win zero, or get relegated.

As I've said several times before, I guess we all support our club differently.
