I think that PSR started the beginning of the end of the Premier League, but I have to say, with the fees being quoted, paid for players this window, we are well down the slope now to the end of football as we know it.
I just wonder how many can survive.
Italian clubs for several years have been living from hand to mouth, and without the English league practically giving away our players to them, one wonders if they would be long gone by now.

Bill, Italian football looks to be in a terrible state. No WC's for yonks, and the club sides no longer set the world alight in Europe.
It's probably me, just generalising, but they not only seem to shop at current bargain-basement prices, but when they sell their players they don't seem to command top prices.
I'm not even sure the youth development set-ups at their clubs are any good.
