I may well of misunderstood the article but I think we do not have to register Palestra and Quenda in our 25 man premiership squad for some reason.

Anyone under the age of 21 doesn't need to be registered for the PL squad. If we were in Europe, that's a different kettle of fish, but certainly this season we have a lot more leeway in squad size, which is ironic, since without Europe we can arguably make do with a smaller squad.

I believe Penders, Palestra, Hato, Achaempong, Anselmino, Essugo, Gittens, Estevao and Quenda won't need to be registered, but not 100% sure.

So, and although I'm not saying it's a good idea, we could, if we wanted, register 25 players for this Premiership season, plus the players mentioned above.

It's not particularly good. Firstly, most top coaches don't want to manage oversized squads. Secondly, some of the players we would have to register aren't good enough.

As I was saying, it's not a good idea. I wonder what size the manager wants the squad? I guess we shall see.

Tom, I think, with the amount of games we have, I'd imagine he'd probs want a squad size of 22-23 + 2-3 youngsters, but I think, just with the amount of players we have (and how injury prone some are), it'll probs end up the full 25 + 3-4 youngsters, but we shall have to see.

Fuser, I think your estimates are about right, and we need certainty and cover for our more consistently injured players. I think if Palestra doesn't need to be registered, it may influence keeping or loaning Josh. I'm personally leaning more towards a loan for the lad.

Josh would be 4th choice, unfortunately, behind Levi, Lacroix and Fofana, so I’d loan him out to a club where he’ll be starting almost every game. If he’s loaned out, I’d probably keep Tosin or perhaps Anselmino, but he too has injury issues and probably needs a loan himself.
