So we go into Christmas in 4th place and are unlikely to recruit anyone in this winter window but Jorgensen has requested to leave, Diasi is wanted by a number of clubs as is George so I expect those 3 to leave. Josh needs game time as does Santos and Hato but we can't take a chance on loaning them in case of injuries. Essugo is back training and I have given up on Lavia but hopefully Colwill will be back towards the end of the season. Personally I would try to sell Tosin and Badders who are not good enough and maybe loan Giui to Sunderland (he can't go anywhere else), Gittens could do with a loan as well to get some minutes and hopefully build his confidence, Sterling is happy picking up his bag of lolly every week so he won't move, that would tidy the squad up and maybe allow a couple of academy players a chance in the cup games.
My only issue is who steps up as backup to Sanchez if Jorgensen is granted his wish to leave?

RPD, like you I don’t expect any incomings nor do I want any unless they improve the squad. Hopefully, we can move on a couple of players but you are right Sterling will be hanging around like a bad smell. Hopefully no useless loan deals.

Sterling must go down as the worst signing we have ever made alongside Bogarde many moons ago.

At least Sterling played for a couple of seasons.
I would also put Robert Fleck in the mix. Let’s also not forget we have had a couple of people with supposed drug issues.

Adrian Mutu was a pre Mudryk CFC attacking player with drug problem that put paid to his time woth us so he could join list. So surely could Veron.

I wouldcsdd Lavia to the list, good player but can't stay fit.

I too have given up on Lavia but the talent is 100% there, only hope is that he can follow in Reece James footsteps and make a full recovery.
