On a positive note it looks as though deals for both Higuain and Paredes could be close. Let's just hope we can get Higuain done before Arsenal Saturday.

BILD reporting we've agreed a €45m fee for Pulisic 😔 really not convinced but I'll back him either way. If that's Hazards replacement I'm really starting to worry about what direction the clubs going in. Especially when Willian and Alonso keep starting.

Sorry for the negative post anyway just my opinion.

KingKante

1.) 29 Dec 2018 08:38:28
And yet if we didn't bid for him, everyone would moan we weren't trying to sign top young talents. If Liverpool or City had supposedly agreed this deal, everyone would be up in arms.
No wonder so many regular posters and Ed002 have left- the negativity is astonishing.

2.) 29 Dec 2018 08:40:51
Pulisic plays RW for the most part although he is capable of playing across the front 3.

3.) 29 Dec 2018 08:55:35
Before posting negative comments, you will note from watching Pulisic play that he is a direct pacey winger with a lot of dribbling abilities. He is very technical and has a good eye for a pass and don't forget he is only 20 years old. I'll be very happy with him in board.

ED1 what are your thoughts on him mate.

{Ed001's Note - I like him a lot personally. Got a good head on his shoulders and only got dropped as he turned down a new contract.}

4.) 29 Dec 2018 09:48:20
One of the things I really like about what I've seen of him (which, admittedly is very little) is that he seems to see passes that very few players see, kind of like our very own Eden. I think that Eden and Pulisic, switching around the front three, cutting inwards would really tear apart defences once they'd get to know each other and the way the other plays. Obviously, it won't be important, if Eden leaves, but if that's the case, then I believe we'd get a player, quite similar of Eden, but without that bit of end product, that Eden's bringing at the moment.

5.) 29 Dec 2018 09:59:45
I like him personally and think he will improve under sarri.

6.) 29 Dec 2018 10:17:11
Has good stats for winning the ball back high in opposition half and interceptions, which says he presses and has good fitness.

7.) 29 Dec 2018 10:42:46
I’m not sure the reporting on this signing is accurate.

I was told he was joining this window not in the summer but maybe that’s the direction the negotiations have worked out.

Maybe someone can give some further insight?

8.) 29 Dec 2018 11:13:40
KingKante is disappointed he's only costing £45m, would've been more excited if he cost £100m right?

9.) 29 Dec 2018 12:05:13
What are you talking about Saim? I’ve never wanted him! We’re cryinv out for a left footed winger who could score. That’s why I want Pepe, pay attention to my posts.

10.) 30 Dec 2018 12:11:46
No one does Kk that's the point.

06 Dec 2018 00:56:30
I like Sarri's style and we need to do what city did with pep and stick with him and back him in the market.

Only thing I'm worried about is that if he keeps on persisting with Alonso, Willian and Morata he might not get that chance.

KingKante

1.) 06 Dec 2018 15:32:31
Thank you very much simply put.

29 Nov 2018 22:39:58
Only Europa league but heres my points:

• Giroud brings loads to this team he should start.
• Emerson has pace can overlap and get back, should also start.
• Loftus-Cheek is a tank. He deserves a run over Barkley and Kovacic.
• Hudson-Odoi has end product. Brilliant on the right too so why not chuck him in. His pressing impressed me too.

KingKante

1.) 30 Nov 2018 05:09:39
Good points KingKante, I am very much in support of your points although Kovacic and Barkley too are v. good and important players. Man! This Hudson Odoi is something, truly he can do a job in the first team, his got the energy level to press for 120mins. Please whatever the case is- with this kid (Hudson Odoi) and his contract should be sorted out, the boy has got a lot in his bag.

2.) 30 Nov 2018 07:51:12
Lol obinna didn’t you say Hudson-Odoi should not see the field until he signs a new contract like 2 weeks ago? But of a backflip there mate .

3.) 30 Nov 2018 08:37:17
Standard, I guess if you use the search engine you will see my comments on Hudson Odoi (besides are you stalking me? ) I don't remember saying that but even if I did, I don't owe you any explanation man.

4.) 30 Nov 2018 10:34:01
I have to disagree about RLC - I thought last night showed exactly why RLC should NOT be playing and why he will probably never be good enough for Chels; against a weak team reduced to 10 players, RLC should have dominated that game - instead, I only remember his 1 surging run in the 2nd half - apart from that he was anonymous.

But I do agree about CHO - even if he starts but only plays for an hour per game, surely he will be at least as productive as Willian and Pedro - if he's good enough, he's old enough. If CHO is another who leaves because of lack of game time, I will never forgive Sarri. Ps and DO NOT send him out on loan - PLAY CHO!

5.) 30 Nov 2018 11:32:53
I do apologise obinna, someone made that comment and I thought it was you. Sorry mate.

6.) 30 Nov 2018 16:02:22
I'm really sorry Standard, I overreacted, truly sorry.

7.) 30 Nov 2018 18:12:58
I think people are forgetting we were playing a poor time and most of game 10 men. So you cannot judge on this. I don’t disagree on Gironde. I like Emerson but defensively he is poor. Odious is good bu
T if we just throw him in it could destroy him. As for long running RLC debate he’s good going forward but poor in defence. He just not work hard enough.
I can’t believe nobody has made a big thing of how poor Willian was again. He should not be starting ahead of pedro.

8.) 01 Dec 2018 11:23:58
Willian and D. Luiz are good players but letting them leave in the summer; and bringing in capable replacements seems a no brainer.

22 Nov 2018 19:10:48
Does anyone have any interest in Ben Chilwell Ed? Think he's fantastic and improving all the time. Think he's be great in Sarriball.

KingKante

{Ed001's Note - the problem is that Leicester gave him a very large new contract recently with the promise of guaranteed first team football. So tempting him away is not an easy thing to do. Not until he is more established and ready to look for a move for his own sake.

Spurs are extremely interested but they are unwilling to beat his current deal.}

1.) 23 Nov 2018 07:25:19
Hope so Frank he's a good player.

2.) 23 Nov 2018 12:03:41
I’d take him all day he’s only 21. Already more accomplished than Alonso I just think he’s over rated because of his clutch goals.

3.) 23 Nov 2018 16:53:34
True, plus Leicster don't sell cheap and hard to deal with, tierney woukd be perfect signing for us, hg aswell.

4.) 23 Nov 2018 20:31:22
Tiernay isn’t HG.

5.) 24 Nov 2018 14:14:35
I know i just realised.

6.) 25 Nov 2018 09:10:21
I thought Scottish players were classed as home grown?

{Ed002's Note - They are in Scotland. Why would they be HG in England?}

I've had a lot of people criticise what I've put on here in the past and even though I've sometimes come across the wrong way it's only because I've got good intentions for our club. I've had the likes of Adam on here saying everyone should shut up and let me run our transfers. Fact is I actually would do a better job and I'm sure everyone else on here could do a better job. We're a winning club but we could be so much better. Our need for a director of football is needed now more than ever. Just think of the money we've spent on transfers last few years which have turned out to be dross. I know every club has poor transfers now and again but we're the worst. Morata, Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Batshuayi, Barkley, Zappacosta, Baba, Hector and Djillibodji. I know a few have had good moments at times I. e Morata and Batshuayi but none have been successful. That's about 200m gone to waste. Don't want to sound like a know it all but I could do a better job. We need someone like Ballack in the DOF role to give us direction again. A big call but getting rid of ego's who think they're better than what they are in Hazard, Willian, Luiz and Alonso would be a good start. Then let's try and bring in players mentally good enough not just relying on talent. Pulisic hasn't convinced me with his talent but he seems mentally strong which I can work with. If Hazard does leave we do need a marquee but I'd like Dybala who is young with a good head on his shoulders. I know it's unlikely but we should aim for him. What we need to do is sign world class players instead of average squad players then let our talented youth be squad options. James could be a great back up to Azpi could even displace him eventually. Christensen should replace Luiz. But I'd like to see us bring in a class CB. Maybe Koulibaly type (unlikely) or a Skriniar but I don't know if Skriniar is good enough on the ball. I don't rate Mount or Abraham personally but I think they couldn't do a worse job than Barkley or Giroud. Ampadu impresses me cause he's only 18 but nails players 😂 and seeing that in this day of age fills me with joy with how footballs changed he's like a breath of fresh air. Sorry for the long post.

KingKante

1.) 23 Jan 2019 07:21:19
Not everyone. Just you mate. Love the way you think transfers buying and selling is so easy in the football world. Maybe you should stick to Football manager and fifa and think that’s the correct way of doing transfers. We’re the worst? Really? United haven’t wasted money have they? What about Liverpool? Spent how much and still won no trophies! What about Arsenal? Let’s just sell the whole team shall we and get players that don’t have an ego, how about just young players as they shouldn’t have egos. oh no, Solanke, Hudson-Odoi springs to mind. That won’t work neither. Players have egos, they all do. It’s about controlling them. But getting rid of hazard, Alonso, Luiz and Willian is mad. Pulisic hasn’t convinced you, oh no I’m sure Chelsea are gutted they haven’t impressed you. He is/ was one of the hottest young players out there, simply out the Dortmund team because he wouldn’t sign a contract, another reason why Sancho got a look in, in the 1st place. Sign world class players but they all cost big money. Don’t think you get that we won’t go out and spend massive sums anymore. We don’t make the money of Liverpool, United, City we don’t have the financial muscle anymore.

2.) 23 Jan 2019 10:38:54
Whether you like it or not there certain players that are toxic in the dressing room if their personal ambitions are not put on the front burner. I'm sure many targets were overlooked for their baggage they may come with. So it's a reality.
I disagree that any team can truly be the best without out occasionally buying world class players. I don't mean buying for the sake of it but strategically buy world class players for the spine of the team. Worldies don't come cheap so a team desiring to be the best like Chelsea must spend big to remain among the best. Afterall that's what made us the Chelsea we are today. We should be trying to expand our club brand and increase our revenue to be invest when when necessary rather than buying average players and expect a messi from them.

3.) 23 Jan 2019 13:50:51
Agree with the DOF ballack, we need football brains around the club not just buisness people. It also helps in terms of ballack that he could identify young German talent. I believe that’s where we struggle in terms of transfers as non footballers do not understand what the transfer means to a player and their families. Throwing £150k a week helps but it’s a deeper understanding/ communication which I can only guess is missing from our transfer dealings.

4.) 23 Jan 2019 14:16:42
Transfers have been hit and miss unfortunately. I think Jose was very hard done by near the end of his tenure.

However, the board have tried to rectify the issue and have signed quality in recent times in Jorginho, Kovacic and Kepa. Pulisic is another terrific player. From the past, Morata, Bakayoko, Kante, Giroud (back up) were all good signings. It is going in the right direction. I won't complain. Of course nobody could forsee Morata and Bakayoko's demise but at the time they were gambles worth taking.

Anyway we seem to be linked to the right players now.

5.) 23 Jan 2019 18:09:37
thats ok kante mate its a site of mixed opinion its rare so many fans will habe the exact same. views from a fellow fan keep your input coming i enjoy reading every1s views even the extremely negative mdw haha.

6.) 23 Jan 2019 07:38:11
Sorry King Kante but you lost me at ‘I could do a better job of transfers’. Clearly do not understand the precise intricacy of transfers and the hundreds of factors that are evident in negotiations. We have had poor transfers but every club has had such. Have some faith in the club mate.

I hope Ed0333 considers me a wordsmith. I did my best ;)

{Ed0333's Note - more like Delia Smith mate lol.

7.) 23 Jan 2019 23:53:40

Really gutted to see Chelsea fans rejoicing on Twitter that Kane, Son and now Alli will be our against us. I hate beating weakens sides we're Chelsea we should do it properly not happy their best players are out.

KingKante

1.) 22 Jan 2019 18:17:11
I agree Kante. I would also hate us getting stuffed by a weakened Spurs team.

2.) 22 Jan 2019 18:30:33
Well apart from a dodgy VAR / offside penalty they didn’t create much, it’s there defence will is the problem, we need to score and unfortunately the squad is as vital as the 11 so if they didn’t sign players then that’s there own undoing, I’m hoping for Giroud or Higuain start, want hazard in his best position,

3.) 22 Jan 2019 18:37:59
I think those fans should wait until we actually win the game.

4.) 22 Jan 2019 19:46:43
would u not think spurs fans would be rejoicing if we were missing hazard kante and apzi? course were happy der missing 3 top players i don't care who they have on the pitch once they win. if we do qualify i don't think il care less who they were missing.

5.) 22 Jan 2019 20:33:02
Don't forget Sissoko - ce-le-brate good times come on.

6.) 22 Jan 2019 20:44:58
spurs are even more happy kk they won't have to face morata pedro and drinkwater.

21 Jan 2019 20:58:15
This will probably be a very unpopular post but I think we might actually be a better 'team' once Hazard leaves.

KingKante

1.) 21 Jan 2019 21:37:32
I think we got ourselves into a bad position by being so dependent on Hazard's performances. If there were other players at his level in the team, that would alleviate the responsibility/ restriction that he has.

Look at teams such as Liverpool and Man City, if Salah isn't firing, they have Mane and Firmino. If city doesn't have Aguero, they have Sterling and both Silvas'.

We could do well to reinvest the Hazard fee into 2 or 3 players that could all share the scoring responsibilities. We could also avoid losing Hazard and use funds by selling other players to help Hazard and the core of the team overall. He's been crying out this to happen since Diego left, I'm just not sure that is what will happen. We should enjoy him while he is still in blue, we've been spoiled to have him!

{Ed0333's Note - I think you’ll find and God hope it never happens but without Salah I think we’d be profoundly less effective. I’m not sure Lalana or Shaq bring to the table what the Egyptian king does. Players move on and dispensable. If hazard moves I’m sure in time you’ll replace him with another idol.

2.) 21 Jan 2019 23:22:48
im not sure about that edd wev had such luck with leaders like cech terry cole lampard drogba etc its hard to not agree with me that we never replaced them. we did for s while in terms of costa up top but u can't replace superstars and hazard although tends to be inconsistant he is a super star and a club legend.

{Ed0333's Note - are you really trying to say Chelsea won’t produce another megastar footballer? I really find that hard to believe mate.

3.) 22 Jan 2019 04:23:59
Hazard is a fantastic player but superstar no in my eyes. He’s not mentally good enough.

4.) 22 Jan 2019 08:45:49
Kante. It would make life a lot easier if you tell us the players you do like at Chelsea.

5.) 22 Jan 2019 09:34:40
I like a lot of them mate I love Hazard. But the constant talk gets on me nerves about him leaving. If he doesn’t want to sign then go. There’s only two players I dislike that frustrate me which are Willian and Alonso.

6.) 22 Jan 2019 09:44:26
Kante, ’your not alone with the Hazard boredom and you are echoing the sentiment of a lot of posts about Willian and Alonso.

7.) 22 Jan 2019 13:46:06
Kante i think your post isn't all that bad. We all love Hazard, however its clear he doesn't want to be at chelsea. If he does stay then its because Madrid don't want him. His press behaviour is poor, his taking liberties knowing the club can't do much given his contract situation. It would cause chaos if someone spoke.

Anyway, if he leaves then it gives the platform for somebody new to be the next idol. We may play better when we are less reliant on Hazard. We may play poorly without him. Biggest idol for any club is a striker and we need a top one at the bridge.

8.) 22 Jan 2019 20:34:43
Agree totally, KK - we should have cashed in for big bucks last summer - I love Hazard but the 'will I, won't I? ' game is wearing thin.

9.) 22 Jan 2019 20:29:41
You are very right CFCShak, I don't think anyone loves Hazard more than me, sometimes i feel my heart is about to stop with the talk or thought of him leaving Chelsea, but I must confess that i am tired of his interviews (like you put it- taking liberties knowing the club won't do him nothing- an attitude seems to be common with some Belgian players these days) . He has my blessing to go if he wants to leave.

In Nigeria there's a saying we echo which is, "SOLDIER COME SOLDIER GO BUT BARRACKS REMAIN". So good luck to Hazard if he wants to leave cos another great soldier will come to Stanford Bridge after him.

20 Jan 2019 22:59:58
Since I put a post last night about what needs to change last night two people have copied me with similar posts 🤣🤣 guess I'm not doing too bad considering I'm a negative supporter 🤷🏼‍♂️.

1.) 20 Jan 2019 23:08:21
Lol whatever Frank you have achieved so much.

2.) 21 Jan 2019 04:30:34
Salty.

20 Jan 2019 20:55:45
If Hazard leaves in the summer we need to replace him with a marquee signing it's got to be someone like Griezmann. I'd like to see someone like Fekir brought in now and James recalled for Zappacosta and I'd be brave with this line up.

4-2-3-1:

Kepa

James Rüdiger Luiz Emerson

Kanté Ampadu

Hudson-Odoi Fekir Hazard

Higuain

I'm the summer I'd aim for either Chilwell for LB as he's homegrown or Mendy of Lyon. Griezmann for Hazard and another striker maybe Jovic of Frankfurt.

KingKante

1.) 20 Jan 2019 21:07:50
Love the look of that team king Kante and players in it Chilwell is a great shout although I do feel Emerson deserves a fair go for the spot before we buy someone
Ampadu and Kanté could be class in there together
Cho also deserves some more game time as teams should be done on form and our singers aren’t on form imo.

2.) 20 Jan 2019 21:25:22
Cheers mate if Hazard did leave and we could bring Griezmann in or someone like Pepe we could also revert Hudson-Odoi back to the left so we have a balanced team. I think there’s way too many right footers in this squad that’s why we’re so predictable going forward.

3.) 20 Jan 2019 21:44:53
James has 1/ 2 season of championship football under his belt. Why oh why do we big these players up so much. We’ve done it with Josh, Tammy, Mount, CHO. Yes James, Mount haven’t had the chance too but can we honestly say they are good enough for a club like us? Josh had a lot of potential and did nothing with it, Tammy shines in Championship, but can he do it week in week out in the prem? Not sure to be honest. Can Chelsea afford to give him a shot at being number 1 - no let’s be honest. Managers don’t have time. If we bought in someone and said right, you’ve got 3 years no matter what, I want you to start playing the academy boys then that’s the ONLY way we are going to see if the boys are good enough as they won’t get a proper shot as managers don’t get enough time and then it’s sacking and new man coming in.

Hope this makes sense lol.

4.) 20 Jan 2019 21:52:47
That does Adam and that is what’s needed all we are saying is if our so called first teamers aren’t performing why not throw in a youngster he’ll only sink or swim, teams should be picked on form not on who they are that’s what I’m saying. I completely understand your view mate and it’s completely valid.

5.) 20 Jan 2019 21:53:36
Oh be quiet Adam you’re always shouting you’re mouth on here.

6.) 20 Jan 2019 22:26:32
Bit rude KK. No idea what your on about shouting my mouth though. It’s true tho, you’re obsessed with us producing the next JT from the academy. Not one youth player who we’ve sold have we gone on to regret. And they don’t get a chance to prove themselves. Yet you want to judge them on 1/ 2 season. 🙄. In the league below 🙄🙄.

7.) 20 Jan 2019 22:46:12
Also how do people shout in here? It’s a reading forum isn’t it? Unless everything is in capitals which my replies clearly aren’t. Ahh unless you’re listening to what’s being read as you have sight issues then fair enough, but you may want to turn the volume down, maybe that way you’ll realise I’m not shouting my mouth off. 👍🏼.

8.) 20 Jan 2019 23:06:30
I don’t shout for youth one bit. I’m one of the few who thinks Mount is average and I don’t rate Christensen. James, Ampadu and Odoi look good mentally and having that is key to make it at world class level. I’m not saying they will be but they’re better than the rest IMO. Azpilicueta is a bang average full back in this system people need to realise this he’s not balanced enough. Brilliant defensively but poor offensively. Even though it’s the championship Janes has been a beast. The championship is a physical league that’s why Mounts been poor. James and Ampadu look like players who leave it all on the pitch and that’s what we’re missing. Not ladyboys like Jorginho and Willian.

9.) 20 Jan 2019 23:10:14
You’ve always got to laugh at someone’s post get some respect. There’s to many players in this side who think they’re ten times the player they are. Sarri needs to be brutal like Pep was he got rid of Hart, Zabaleta and Yaya to move forward. Look at City now. Sarri should do the same but he’s being too stubborn when he’s got better players on the bench and I’m worried it’ll end up like Scolari and he ten times the squad we’ve got now. Azpi, Alonso, Willian and Jorginho need to be scarified or benched. How many shocking games does it take to drop a player?

10.) 21 Jan 2019 07:19:42
Let’s just give you the managers job, scouts job, recruitment job! 🙄. Best to 🤐 rather then respond to you as will only end in tears.

He would be great Ed only 25 too and considering Juventus have made him their number 2 now Ronaldos there his attitude has been spot on.

KingKante

{Ed0333's Note - he has a tragic backstory also. He was really close to his old man when he was younger. His dad used to drive him to training everyday when he was a kid it was a 70km drive and he did that every day for ages. Tragically Alfonso his father died of Leukemia when Dybala was 15. Dybala plays in his honor.

Spot on with most though If he leaves we need a superstar who is a serial winner. I’ve always had a soft spot for Dybala. If we changed to 4-2-3-1 he would be class in that ten role. He’s creative, and has a better eye for goal than Hazard (Not as much this season funny enough) . He’s got a strikers instinct too which Hazard lacks. Dybala isn’t afraid to shoot. Going 4-2-3-1 would also get Kante back to a midfield two as well. We need to become a team again not a squad full of ego’s. I can’t see Azpi or Pedro being unprofessional. Hazard, Willian, Luiz and Alonso yes I think. I actually think starting fresh with a new team with direction is the right idea. I’d clear all the bad ego’s out. My only worry is that we’ll sell Hazard and get an average player in. Dybala would be my choice with Fekir 2nd.

KingKante

{Ed0333's Note - Dybala is a supreme player. I hope you guys don’t get him ashes strengthen any team in world football.

I like a lot of them mate I love Hazard. But the constant talk gets on me nerves about him leaving. If he doesn’t want to sign then go. There’s only two players I dislike that frustrate me which are Willian and Alonso.

Hazard is a fantastic player but superstar no in my eyes. He’s not mentally good enough.
