As we approach the CWC semifinal on Tuesday was thinking, if I was EM would I risk James and Lavia or is there no point in having regrets, so just play your best team on the day.
Will he start with Jackson? Will he play Palmer on the right on in the pocket? Who wi play instead of Colwill on the left side of central defence?
Win and he will rightly get some plaudits, lose and he will rightly get pelters.

Given the UEFA punishment meted out to us and Villa ( not of course City) over FFP with further penalty - ban from registering new players for UEFA competitions plus an additional 50.million plus fine - suspended only as long as we balance our books over future seasons progressive further in the CWC takes on added significance. Given we could make up to another 50.million to add to the c 60 million we've gained thus far in terms of balancing books and not being forced to sell asany players we may not have wanted to. We are strong favourites to get to the final and have had by far the easier side of the draw ( plus City surprise exit) so we need to. makevit count now.

Would start with Jackson but yes decisions on James and Lavia must be sensible ones taking into consideration season ahead. Would think Palmer may playbin pocket. not sure. Tosin in for LC surely?

JBS, putting the initial fine to one side I am more interested in the supposed requirement for us to balance our transfer books (I assume for this window) pre naming our champions league squad.
If we do not balance our transfer book we may not be able to register some of our new signings for the champions league.
I have probably misunderstood what is being reported but if it is true, I can’t see it doing much for the prices we might want for players we are looking to sell.
I am truly hoping I am way off the mark here.

I am not entirely sure that I understood what UEFA are demanding of us but it does seem to be requirement to balance books and have implications about not being a le to play new signings to Cha, pions League though not sure when the start point would be for who constitutes a new signing?

I thought I kinda understood the transfer issues imposed on us but on reflection I don’t think I do. I have read some reports that we will have generate £60 million in transfer fees to allow us to register our current signings for Europe. I’m presuming that people at the club understand the ruling and are on it.
