I don't come on this page often but I see a lot of we should buy him in January and him. But myself I don't think we should sign anyone right now. The main thing we need to do is just let them develop.
Jackson is never going to be a Drogba but he's had a better start than Drogba did. Jackson relies more on pace but he has his own style. Drogba was more hold up play and bully but with time Jackson may also gain that. He's 21 and causing defenders nightmares already. Yes he should have scored more chances but he's still making a big impact none the less. He's not 30 and the finished article because we've signed a lot of young players. Jackson is poor with his head in the area which does need improving but his link up play and one touch football is very good not to mention he's an absolute workhorse.
Year by year they will acclimatise to the rest of the group get better and stronger. I'm also a big fan of Broja he just needs to stay injury free. I don't see any point of Osimhen or Toney. Unless someone's leaving let's just stick with what we've got.
When Nkunku returns who for me is going to be our star player who will help us unlock low blocks we will be even better. We've had rotten luck with injuries. Three of our best players in Nkunku, Badiashile and Reece have been injured most of the season so now we should start to gain momentum.
My point is is that Osimhen and Toney weren't what they are now at 21. Jackson and Broja have big potential so let's just give them a chance to show it. Don't see any point in spending another 100 million and Osimhen is injury prone also.

Magic, I enjoyed your post and I partially agree with your sentiment.
The only thing I would add, is the club can’t stand still. It will continually need to upgrade/ trade but like you I can’t see many players, if any, joining us in January.

Agreed, Magic. Drogba was absolutely woeful in his first season and a half. Couldn't score for love or money, throwing himself to the ground at any opportunity. Got sent off in his big chance in a CL game as I remember. We had Crespo at that time for him to play backup to – not a bad player!
