Good to see sancho get a goal, hopefully that helps with his confidence. I actually think he was a good pick-up for the cost and what has been reported as a hefty pay cut.

Standard, I like him as a player. He has gone through a sticky period but he hasn’t Biden from receiving the ball line he did at Utd. I will have just one moan about and this applies to a lot of wingers, I wish he would go both ways.

I was at the match yesterday and Sancho did really impress in his cameo and with that wonderful goal. I think many have wanted him to shoot more often so kers hope he does. What he also offered was a short corner option and ability when given the ball in that way to get into the box and create goal possibilities. Given our lack of aerial threat from set pieces or ordinary aerial crosses - so much time wasted trying them without an attacker who us really good in the air - we need quick feet and accurate passing in box against a low block. We of course could also do with a striker who can head the ball like Didier!

I have hestated to comment on the match cos so much was same old problems that get boringly repetitive. Not thing chances, so often so open to dangerous counter ttck on flanks when playing inverted full back. yesterday via Cucurella. and no CB really marshaling defensive structure plus Sanchez being Sanchez like with giving opposition the ball and chance to score even if yesterday he got away with it.
Noni looked more dangerous than Neto yesterday and Colwill poor. Palmer just taking that second or so more time to decide what to do when earlier in season it all came so instinctively and immediately right in terms of his decision making.
But his namesake in their goal did nake several fine saves to deny us three points though of course we should have been 2-0 up after 20 mins and game all but over not 0-2 down at half time and likely to drop points. Not sure whether Ipswich second goal offside or not though clearly VAR gave it?

PS I still stick with my preseason prediction of us finishing in 5th-9th place though hugely hope it could be 5th of course!

I have to disagree about Sancho, I have never rated him- too much baggage. Pay the penalty clause and send him back to Man U.

JBS, thanks for your insight from the Bridge. It’s always good to get a view from fans who were at the game.

I think sancho would benefit from cucurella overlapping rather than holding back in midfeild.
Another point, neto looks like he has ability but he's not playing well and has not impressed. Is it down to poor coaching?

Thanks Tom and sorry you couldn't be there.
Jimbo it may be that Sancho can only play patching for us and cannot gain the consistency for us. But he was good as a sub yesterday and played a bit like he did in that promising cameo in debut as sub v Bournemouth earlier in the season.
But if he impressed then and yesterday he has underwhelmed at other times of course. So am. not sure about him but then didn't watch. much of him when he was playing for United or in the Bundesluga
Bu.

I haven’t got a clue about any supposed Sancho “baggage. ” He comes across as a reasonable sort of lad and both stints he had in Germany seemed to work out well.
I was well chuffed when we signed Neto. I think he will prove to be a very good acquisition.

Neto will need to do a lot more to prove to be a good acquisition. We paid £51 million for a player with 3 goals and 4 assists.

I think he will be one of our very best signings.
I also have a feeling we will go to 433 next season and that will really work for our wide players.

Tom, I hope you are right but personally I doubt it, he is 25 should be at his peak but looks bang average to me ( regrettably) one of many good n our squad.
