If it isn't mourinho I'm done. Extremely deflated with this football club and the owners right now.

1 step forward, 3 steps back with this club. Gallagher and chalobah are gone too. Just a truly embarrassing state of affairs.

Well no. pressure on who they bring in. Has to be sn utter genius and win EPL in first season as manager. or at least get a points total of 80 plus.

21 May 2024 23:18:27
I don’t think anyone would expect us to win the title but anything other than top four would be a failure.

Back to 11th next season?

I think it was the right thing to do i think there was issues behind the scenes and if true we don't want to start another season with bad blood or the manager and owners not being on the same page, i think Amorin would be my shout and suited, but i must admit that i think the Americans have done it in a respectful way with the look for a new manager starting today and not do it behind his back. This way hopefully we will get a manager in and have a good pre season get the squad fit all the players back and start the season strong. Happy with the england team not calling james and ben up get them rested. Bring a striker in with a few defenders and away we go.

Amorim has no PL experience. Portuguese league is a far from PL.
The only mentioned name that makes sense iz RDZ. I am pretty sure that will not accept Chelsea job.

Hi Ed, would Hansi Flick be an option for Chelsea?

{Ed002's Note - He is not a preferred option.}

Hi Eds

I was wondering if the split with Poch was more the club wanting a new manager or Poch wanting to leave

Thanks in advance.

21 May 2024 21:02:31
For me though I would like Amorim.

Huge bloody gamble whoever we get next.

Agree Total and utter gamble my top six for what's it worth in order would be

Simone Flick Amorin Frank Mckenna de Zerbi.

How about this as a wild selection as our next manager.

Gary O'Neil.

21 May 2024 20:38:29
Would rather Thomas Frank from Brentford but who knows the big mistake in my opinion and I realise I am probably the only one was sacking Potter.

21 May 2024 20:53:39
Seymns, you are not alone but we are in a massive minority.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 21:22:50
You are not alone I am completely shocked as expect are many of the players. So shoddily handled. Makes CFC look frankly stupid to. most putsiders at least in short to. medium term. What a gamble and yet another new start and bedding in process for yet another manager and team. Not sure I'm strong enough!

So frankly right now I don't give a @#£% who is next in our farcical managerial roundabout game. but will care soon again no doubt.

Anyway thank you Poch and I am v sorry to see you go.

21 May 2024 21:34:16
Well - at least there are three of us!

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 22:14:46
As I understand it. Chelsea and Poch parted ways by mutual consent; whatever the circumstances you can’t have the owners and manager in dispute about the way forward. That said, I am not sorry that Poch had gone: serial loser and bullsh**er.

21 May 2024 23:00:22
touch harsh Jimbo, am a big believer in fake it till you make it you have to talk the talk not sure the next coach is going to be better.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 23:21:40
Seymms, I don’t mind coaches being upbeat and confident but constant excuses get on my nerves.

21 May 2024 19:51:54
Ed you might get DeZerbi finally!
No, I'm just kidding. DeZerbi is not stupid to take Chelsea job. We really became laughing stock.
Maybe Super Frank is back? He is young, dumb enough to take the job.
Those didn't took over Chelsea to rebuild the club. They've took the club to destroy it.

21 May 2024 20:40:34
That really would be a strange BP or ambition.

We now just move on to yet another manager.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 20:42:12
Sod that can’t watch managers football like Lampard potter or Southgate. No charisma.

21 May 2024 20:54:50
It must be me but that first year of Lamps I enjoyed the football.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 21:28:01
So did I enjoy first season Lamps. But I enjoyed first season Poch a lot more. And players seemed to as well. Am enraged by what has happened. Seems like madness. But of course would love to be proved wrong. Yet the sporting or not so sporting directors had better bring in absolute genius who demonstrably and from the off does better than outgoing manager.

21 May 2024 22:09:45
JBS but as we know there are no guarantees when it comes to picking a successful manager.

My son thinks we should go and get the stuttgart manager whoever he is. I think it will be RDZ.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 23:20:08
Stuttgart coach signed new contract according to Romano not realistic.
The wild bunch haven't yet contacted RDZ. But young coach, who plays possession based, beautiful football does sound like RDZ.
I don't think he'll accept Chelsea job. Too risky those guys at the board are serious idiots.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 23:24:04
Tom, the stuttgart manager is well regarded but I don’t know anything about him.

21 May 2024 19:18:11
Sky sports are saying Poch is leaving.

Ed002, do you believe this is the case?

{Ed002's Note - My opinion remains unchanged.}

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 19:55:58
RDZ 9/ 4 fav with the bookies the second fav is the bloke from Ipswich at 17/ 2.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 21:29:25
Now I'd Pep was odds on to be next or surprise Klopp arrival I. might be less depressed.

21 May 2024 19:25:31
Now confirmed, Poch has left.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 19:32:43
Bill, I would assume the owners have a replacement already lined up or at least very close to being appointed.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 19:41:12
You'd really hope so. I'm a bit gutted, I have to say.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 19:43:05
Hopefully they stay clear of the Ipswich manager and De Zerbi.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 19:49:45
Good last run and an improvement. But I think the game style throughout most of the season was poor. I think it held certain players back. Possibly his training was causing injuries? I don’t know for sure, im happy either if he stayed for another season or gone.
He doesn’t have a winning mentality to be honest.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 19:51:15
Whitey,

I totally agree De Zerbi would be at logger heads with our owners from day one and McKenna, as good as a job he has done, it is a massive step up as GP found out.

That said whoever takes over now will be a massive gamble.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 19:57:07
CG and TC will follow. Poch has told board not to sell his captain and they have denied his wish. Imo.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 19:58:39
Please stay clear of Tuchel Jose, for me too early for Mckenna but it could be him de Zerbi is cheap so not surprised he ia the bookies favourite if it was up to me would employ a manager who has been around a bit Simione of Athletico or Flick

If we sacked Poch it is a poorly thought through move.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 20:02:10
It would madness for McKenna to leave Ipswich at this stage. De Zerbi is just another Potter with a temper.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 20:15:47
Just looking at the betting markets a lot of money on Mckenna.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 20:42:41
4 managers in 2 seasons. Finally have done something and they are getting rid of him.
The most unstable club in top 6.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 20:43:48
Amorin from sporting?

Agree1 0Disagree

21 May 2024 20:46:26
I am only thinking of managers I wouldn’t want.

Not Jose, Conte, Howe, RDZ, McKenna, TF, VK, Southgate, or ETH.

I’m leaning more towards the SL manager because I just don’t like the other choices.

Agree2 1Disagree

21 May 2024 20:50:06
Mckenna is far too inexperienced for the project we are in at the moment.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 21:02:32
At least the divorce seems genuinely amicable.

Of course that won’t stop all the stories about Poch not getting what he wanted or the owners not happy with his training methods.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 21:41:03
I swear the ow we’d just want a yes sir no sir man and do what they say.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 22:11:59
The owners don’t pick a team or deploy any tactics.

It would appear they have used stats to help them reach a decision.!
