whitey, that’s one of the consequences of another season without CL football. It sometimes can be overcome by having a charismatic top class coach but we don’t have that either.

Not for the first time I’m confused. Us not being in the Champs League will apparently stop players joining us, so to compensate for a lack of signings we employ a “charismatic” manager who will attract players?

Tom, it was a simple point, if a club is not in the CL it is more difficult to attract top class players particularly if they are used of doing so. Sometimes players might be attracted to a club by a top coach who has a record of achievements . We have neither going for us at present. You may not agree with my opinion but I don’t understand why you are confused.
