AVB had played his cards and it hadn't worked, " he told The S*n. "I don't know if he was too young or whether it had come too early for him.
Frank Lampard's comments after AVB got sacked. mmmm.

I mentioned this on another forum because Frank and the other leaders basically 'downed tools' either consciously or sub consciously.
AVB wanted a very different apporoach which they weren't having probably quite rightly.
The point being once a group of players lose confidence in the coach for whatever reason performance levels and confidence suffer.
The away performance against Napoli in the CL reminds me of the Leicester game.
The PL is very unforgiving if the players aren't fully committed and confident in the tactical approach and even then it can prove difficult.
It's hard to see a way forward without a change to a more experienced management team.

Yeh I remember that quote very clearly. It was a harsh lesson for AVB and your right Strasbourg when the players don't buy into what the coach is trying to implement then its the beginning of the end usually.
The last few Chelsea performances have been poor and I've already said the players seem disinterested. Every performance seems to get worse with Leicester topping it.
