When you are number 9 - all you want is to be 1 vs 1 with the keeper.

Jackson yesterday had 3 or 4 opportunities to go 1 one one. He only shot once to goal.

He is not a striker we need- actually He is not a striker at all.

Need to get rid ASAP just who will be stupid enough to buy him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lrdit, If Jackson keeps on improving as he has this season and remembering he is only 22, he will prove himself to be a very good signing for Chelsea.

Problem is that he is not a striker.

Always goes wide when 1 vs 1 or stops and tries something stupid.

And I am not talking about yesterday only I have noticed this throughout the season and already mentioned this issue on here few months ago.

I’m not sure what constitutes a striker these days other than scoring goals.

He is 22 and will surely improve as he has throughout the season and luckily he has remained injury free because we sure ain’t got anyone else.

Keep improving but not scoring that’s what we require they don’t just play on a Saturday they train everyday at this stuff it’s there job. scoring should come natural to them that’s all they do every day of the week for hours and hours, do you think a joiner for gets how to hang a door NO he doesn’t. Jackson trains everyday to score goals and unfortunately he’s rubbish at it he’s 22 it’s his job.
you just won’t admit he’s shi! e at hanging a door.

It is hard to define what a striker is: some categories are hard to define. That is where the:” I know it when I see it” principle comes into play. Jackson is not a striker but if people want to refer to him as a forward, that’s fine with me.

Nib, do you live in some strange world.

Seeing as you have brought a “joiner” as some sort of strange comparison, I will use your analogy.

A “joiner” learns his trade it doesn’t come naturally. He practices his skill until he is competent at his trade.

To say a forward or any other player cannot improve with coaching or learning his trade is frankly just wrong. The vast majority of players improve with experience and quality coaching.

Your dislike and obsession with Jackson is something you will have to live with if you carry on supporting CFC because he ain’t going anywhere as far as I can see.

So Nib by that logic Dominic Calvert Lewis, Nunez, Muniz etc should all just retire? They’re all the main strikers for their respective teams and all have pretty much scored less than Jackson. There are literally 10’s of thousands of strikers across the world, should the ones who don’t score 20+ goals a season just give up and quit football? They all train everyday etc like you say so if they should be banging them in.

It took me two seasons to totally give up on Werner.

Lots of posters/ fans believed he was a so called striker. I think most Chelsea fans would chose Jackson over Werner but I am, like most fans, biased.

He may well improve as time goes by and he could get better with some coaching but I would be astonished.
