It's interesting to note that Osimhem has started all of 11 games for Napoli this season.
Not what we are looking for in a striker espically for the money quoted.

Bill, I do seem to remember him picking up an injury earlier in the season.
I would worry about his fitness going forward any more than I would any other potential signing.

The problem is Tom, we know he was injured and missed a large number of games plus as another poster stated when AFCON comes up again we will lose him and Jackson, not good to lose two strikers.
For the money, I believe we should stay clear of him, just my opinion.

Bill trust me, if he returns to the form of last year we will not care about him being away for a month at AFCON every two years.

True Tom, but I would be worried about his injury record this season, we have several players already with that problem.
How are you getting along Tom, hope you are improving day by day.

Bill, thanks for your concern and yes I am slowly improving with this Friday being the big test day, so fingers crossed.
As far as I know this is the first season that Osimhen has any injury of any note.

Bill1955 would you buy Haaland based on his injury record this season if he was available?
21 Feb 2024 19:37:52
Pboosey,
I'm pretty sure Haaland has played more than 11 games for City this season so yes, I would have Haaland at Chelsea, Osimhem, definitely not espically at the price quoted for him.

His shot to goal ratio is t great someone was saying too.
22 Feb 2024 09:24:05
Osimhen had absolutely no service last night but scored from basically the first pass he received in the box by fashioning a chance himself. He might not be a goalscorer like Haaland, Kane etc but he has attributes that we lack.
If the goal is to not buy a striker until you know you are getting someone who will score 20+ a season then you are going to be waiting a very long time.

Control, turn, finish and then hooked. Was a well taken goal.
22 Feb 2024 12:22:31
Exactly Tom, he also absolutely ragdolled the defender. Can't see anyone in the squad being able to do something similar.
Obviously, the question of price will come into it. My opinion has always been that if you are going to spend frankly ludicrous sums of money on players, it should be on those who score goals and win games. It's why I wasn't opposed to the Lukaku purchase.
It comes down to whether you want a player to come in now and immediately raise the standard, or to live with Jackson's inconsistencies over the next few seasons in the hope he develops into that player and bring in someone who can do the dirty work up top either alongside him or in relief of him? Personally, I think that the owners want (need? ) to see some immediate returns and so will opt for the former.

RBD, Jackson hat trick this weekend? hahaha!

KBL I feel like you’ve missed the point Matt was actually trying to make. I don’t think he was ever insinuating that Liverpool don’t have their current injury concerns (even if some are potentially able to make it) . It was more that media and pundits have mentioned it and acknowledged their predicament, whereas we’ve had our injury concerns basically all season long and we barely if ever get any acknowledgment of it. It winds me up too tbh. Just my two cents though - I could be completely wrong!

Definitely posted to the wrong topic ?.
