Some of the comments I've seen on various media outlets over the last few hours.

"Chelsea always copy the Brighton method. They mutually agree the termination of a manager contract and Chelsea do the same. "

"RDZ has worked within the Brighton structure, so will have no difficulty working within a similar structure at Chelsea. "

"RDZ has worked with Colwill, Mudryk and Caicedo. "

The guessing game will go on for a while. When it ends some of us will be happy but probably more of us will be p@ssed off.

Agree1 Disagree1

For some reason I would rather Mckenna than de Zerbi have relatives who are Ipswich fans and the Town play some good stuff. Totally unproven and a huge risk, de Zerbi looks too ambitious on apersonal front to me.

Whoever comes in and we lose three of the first four it will be a shambles.

It would actually be insane if we appoint de zerbi. The brighton infatuation is insane.

22 May 2024 08:38:09
I’m not sure why it would be insane. Most fans were going on and on how good he was as a manager last season and how he had improved Brighton post Potter.

This season he had lost his midfield and one of his best defenders.

22 May 2024 09:00:01
He had also lost one of his best strikers to Arsenal.

JBS, I forgot about him. Maybe his achievements for last season are ok.

{Ed001's Note - almost every one of them left because of De Zerbi. Trossard was treated appallingly by him and forced out of the club. De Zerbi is another spoofer, who just took over a solid platform provided to him by Potter and proceeded to gradually tear it apart, like when Silva took over Everton after Moyes.}

RDZ

Is a no no, he is too argumentive and its interesting that Brighton did not fight to keep him like thay did with GP.

22 May 2024 09:23:21
Perfect for our owners then ed.

{Ed001's Note - it does seem that way.}

Thank you Ed001. I've been holding my tongue on RDZ but he's nothing revolutionary and spectacularly falls out with everyone.

He's literally just been sacked by Brighton for the same reason that we have sacked Poch. This alone should make any Chelsea fan realise he isn't suited to this job.

{Ed001's Note - I really do not understand how certain people get so hyped by the media. He is one of those that got talked up without ever doing anything to deserve it. Brighton were happy to see him go, even if some of the fans weren't.}

22 May 2024 09:29:18
Thanks for that info Ed. So that takes him of my list.

So I’ve now got Amroin or the bloke from stuttgart. Any feelings about them Ed?

{Ed001's Note - Amorim I think is one of the better options, but his conduct over the last few months would make me wary of him. He was trying to play teams off against the other.

Hoeness is a very good shout, I just worry if it is a bit soon. But then the one I would go for is in a similar vein - Thiago Motta. He would be the one I would be looking at, he has something, as does Hoeness.}

Thanks v much Ed001 for these comments on touted Poch replacements. Not that they are reassuring but more like knocking back any hopes that there was sanity in what has happened. Unless you or Ed002 - who I think liked Slot now gone to Liverpool - could give us any hope in terms of who could be potentially good replacement and so hopefully high up on preferred options . we realise there is a list.

{Ed001's Note - if Amorim had behaved better when all the other jobs came up, he would be top of the list for me. But that has put him behind Motta and Hoeness for me. Those 2 are very exciting but lack experience, which makes them a gamble.}

22 May 2024 11:05:36
Sorry Ed001 I see you have just said who your preferences would be and thanks for doing so.

{Ed001's Note - no worries mate.}

22 May 2024 11:20:41
Ed, I have to say the more I read about Hoeness the more I like the sound of him. As I mentioned yesterday evening he is my son’s preferred choice and he keeps updated on European team’s performances.

His Stuttgart team had some good results last season scoring plenty of goals and with the second best defence. He seems tactically flexible and finishing in a Champions League spot is something I don’t remember Stuttgart doing for ages.

Anyway Ed thanks for your thoughts much appreciated.

{Ed001's Note - I believe it is Stuttgart's first time qualifying.

22 May 2024 11:37:28
Thanks again for this but it is a pity we now have to gamble when we seemed to be moving in right direction under Poch. Am feeling pretty depressed about this and when, if ever, the revolving door of our managerial appointments will ever stop - at least for quite a few seasons. When will a CFC manager ever be allowed the elative freedom and power of a Klopp at LFC or Pep at City who were given so much time to get THEIR project working properly not just THE project in minds of Sporting Directors and owners who have never been managers?

22 May 2024 11:34:42
Blimey that is impressive. I think he has just signed a new contract so I guess the chances are slim.

Thanks again for your thoughts Ed.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome.}
