Lately I've seen some posters call others out for supposedly being "plastic fans" or "glory hunter" or whatever. That's not what this site is about, guys. Let's not resort to calling each other things like that just because their views are different than yours. Debate with one another, share your views, and by all means disagree all you like. But keep it civil and don't call each other out like that. This should be a site where people WANT to share their views and talk about the club they love. It'd be a shame if people stopped posting because they were afraid to be shot down.
Keep it civil, guys. Or more people than just Ed002 will leave.
Cheers :-)

Jackson you should take things like that as a joke because that's what I was doing. It's called banter so don't get upset about it. We all have our different views but If there are posters on here who are under 21 and started supporting Chelsea when Essien or Drogba started playing for us I can't take them seriously.

Couldn't agree more, we should all respect one another. Furthermore I think it's worth mentioning the trash talk towards our players, I have more than once seen players like Cuadradro, Ramirez and Mikel being referred to as crap, dead weight and rubbish, which in my opinion is utterly disrespectful, we should respect and support the players trying their best to be incorporated in the team and make a difference

Your comment maybe valid in relation to ramires and mikel, who have both been good servants to the club. However the above cannot refer to cuadrado who has been here five minutes, has had opportunities to prove himself. But he is clearly either not interested or not good enough. So IMO as a supporter he is crap. Not only has he made no effort and by doing that he is disrespecting the club, the supporters and the shirt.
By the way I have read no positive comments in relation to him, so we can't all be wrong.

He hasn't really been given any chances, besides 5-10 minutes or a maybe a half since January. I realize that he hasn't impressed during preseason, however it is only preseason and it can be hard to judge players, because they are still getting in shape. Some might argue that Marin looked better than Hazard during the preseason in 2012, and we all know how that turned out. As for him not making any efforts, I believe he is doing his best to impress Mourinho, unfortunately as we all know, he is hard to impress, especially when he already has a preferred lineup

{Ed018's Note - I hate to say it but I really can't remember anyone in the last 10 years looking as bad as Cuadrado has in a Chelsea uniform. I hope he finds what ever it is he needs to turn it around but I highly doubt it.}

Ed018 I was slated on this page in March or April when I said that Cuadrado will never settle at PL due to his physical weakness. Maybe Chelsea is unable to sell him or perhaps Mourinho has some plans for him(the best way how to use him).
When it comes to Mikel and Ramires, loyalty to the club is something extremely, important to PL clubs. We were in very good position to sell Mikel this summer, many people though it was done deal but from some reason Mourinho blocked his transfer. Mourinho knows why.
Selling Ramires was out of question since it seems that he has great importance to Jose Mourinho.
I am quite sure that Mourinho knows what he is doing.
Just remember what he has said only few months ago:where can I find better defender than Ivanovic or better midfielder than Matic and Fabregas or better striker than Costa?
When you have too much competition in the squad is not good for the team.

I'm sure as Chelsea fans we've all been labelled glory supporters and plastic at one point so to be calling fellow Chelsea fans it, leave it out

07 Aug 2015 07:29:42
I don't get upset because someone calls me a glory hunter, mate. Really don't. But others might and that's just not a good way to have a friendly 'conversation' over the Internet.
As for your other point, ME. You say you can't take fans seriously who are under 21 and only started supporting after Roman took over. I'm 20 currently, and will be for a couple of months still. By all means, discredit everything I say. But people can't help it when they're born and when they start following football. It's pretty shortsighted to not take them seriously just because they were born later.
But again, you do as you wish, ME.

The best way to use Cuadrado? Tea-maker? (unless he's too weak to carry the tray!)

07 Aug 2015 09:47:44
Success brings new fans with it its so obviously your fan base has grown since the trophies and big player's arrived its the same every where.
Forest played to a sell out stadium when European champions but struggle for support now.
How may Leeds fans live in London now days? But in the 70s there were loads because they were successful.

07 Aug 2015 09:49:04
Or a ball boy, can't be to weak for that.

07 Aug 2015 11:20:46
Back when he still scored from time to time, Cuadrado had some sick dancing skills to celebrate the goals. Maybe he could be the team's entertainment or something haha
He can still come good for us, you guys!! :-P

Most club supporters start at a young age and support all their lives. The so called glory hunters or plastic fans are normally pseudo football fans who latch on to whoever is doing well. Young supporters who started in the late 1990's, early 2000's have had a great run but if you are ten or more years older you have certainly seen the ups and downs of supporting Chelsea. Buying Cuadrado certainly didn't help!

Ed018, I'd venture Sutton as a worse player for Chelsea. I once had a conversation with King Ossie and he told me he'd never seen a poorer striker in all his years.
As for plastic fans, any regular posters on here no matter how young are due respect. I've been a fan for 31 years and love having banter with the younger guys at games. it's the people who DON'T have any passion we should worry about. From reading this site Jackson deserves some slack.

07 Aug 2015 21:22:15
Sutton worse than Cascarino? Surely not! And what about Winston Bogarde (granted we never saw him play during his 25 years at the club)!
